Something that annoys me is how many fathers are always trying to encourage their teenage sons to get girlfriends and score, not caring if they treat them badly and become a misogynist. But if their son is gay, they will blow a fuse and be very angry at their son for it. It's sad to think that many fathers would rather have a misogynist who treats women badly as a son rather than a gay son. So to make it clear, they are more worried about their son being gay than they are about their son treating women badly. Something that I learn is that many fathers don't have the same attitude about their gay son getting a boyfriend than they do about their straight son getting a girlfriend. They are a lot less happy for their gay son than they are for their Straight son.

Congrats on topping 1M views. Maybe you've found your future calling ... moving the 2SLGBTQIA+ universe into the future? Maybe a kind, compassionate, good, and loving "heart that fed," and a heart to remember ... you're unique and definitely have a calling. Maybe to be a go to/come to, and to do podcasts on 2SLGBTQIA+ and athletics, sports, and other? Take care. 🌈❤😊

Community goes hand in hand with tribalism and tribalism is one of the most widespread, insidious evils known to mankind. As a bisexual person, I’ve always been repelled by the gay community; the way they insist on carrying and presenting themselves to the world causes much more harm to their state cause than good. Regardless of how many girls you fooled around with, no one would ever doubt your queerness if you had an affected way of speaking and expressing yourself, which ties with my previous point - the “community” made sure that the image the world has of gay or queer people is solely the (almost) naked, promiscuous, rainbow-parading person. Those that look straight (“straight acting” - another label), much like bisexual people and much like what you described here, become targets of the “community”. It’s pathetic.

LGBT people are some of the most damaged and judgemental people I’ve ever met and as the saying goes, hurt people hurt people. This is also the reason a lot of LGBT people stay closeted because they don’t feel supported by the “community” either. Time people just see sexuality as a very small part of someone’s being and we should stop making such a big deal about who grown adults find attractive and focus on things that actually matter.

Love your story. However, it's easy for a guy like you who happens to be traditionally masculine, very good looking according to today's standards, and won't face as much ridicule as others. You were given a strong deck of cards to deal with in life. Mazel! I was given the same when I came out fifty years ago! I'm old now. 62.

I'm very impressed by this young man who made a heartfelt plea for everyone to treat each other with respect, kindness, and compassion. I've lived a long while now (yes, an old survivor), and have experienced being isolated in a phobic culture, and then living in California where I learned how much diversity there is in human sexuality. I resisted labels of queer and non-binary because I identified as gay. I wondered why there must be more letters in the alphabet soup of our LBGT community? (This occurred before the QIA+ was added.) Over time I became convinced queer and non-binary are more inclusive than the LGBT words. And that no matter what labels for sexuality there might be, our English language is imprecise at best. Human sexuality is a spectrum, not a this or that, and it changes over time. If we want to continue to build our community, respect, kindness, and compassion will go a long way to make it happen. Thank you, Dylan, for that message.

You are so correct that not all gay people "act gay." I am a 57 year old who still struggles with being comfortable with being gay, and i have never acted in an effeminate manner. I love the country and shooting, and that sort of thing, while also loving many of the arts. I love to sing, paint, and watch people dance. It is so important for people to understand that there are people that have all different personality and likes within the gay community.

I’m completely gay, but people literally never know unless I tell them. I don’t have any feminine mannerisms, I have a deep voice, and I am very tall. But I’ve had people tell me in my life that I was lying about being gay. One person was a lesbian who literally thought I made the whole thing up. Or she thought I didn’t really know myself. But I’ve been getting huge crushes on boys since I was like 6 years old. So many people question our validity as queer people. Thanks for saying you don’t owe anyone an explanation of your sexuality. It’s a nice reminder.

I am an openly gay man but I didn't come out to the public. However, It was many others who outed me, so i just accepted. You are young and as many young people do, you are experimenting with your sexuality and that SHOULD BE ACCEPTED! Please don't let these haters who can't identify their own sexuality bully you. You are right, there are Militant Gay people out there trying to shove it down other peoples throats. I did the 90's March on Washington, I have been on both local and national news which my Mother hated me for doing that. However in the end my Mother finally accepted who I was. BE WHO YOU ARE! and SCREW Everyone else! Bisexuality is real! I believe the majority of people are Bisexual. GOD accepts us as who we are.

Everybody gets to be who they are--and no one needs to define who or what they are for anyone else. I like queer as a denominator because it is not a box to shove people into. The last thing non-conforming individuals is crap from other non-conforming individuals. Whoever loves you, Dylan, and whoever you love--they are lucky to have such a thoughtful, cute person in their lives. Celebrate love and friendship--never demean.

When I came out to my best friend in the Navy, I told him “you know everything about me except one thing.” He asked, “What? Did you kill someone?” I answered, “No, guess again.” He said, “Well I know you’re not gay.” I don’t remember what I said after that, but yeah, that’s how I came out to him, and both of us being so masculine I feared for the worse. Well, he barely spoke two words to me for a year. Then, he slowly came around and we were like old times. That was 40 years ago and we’re still best friends. I think one of the reasons he and I were teamed up was because he was going to eventually have a gay son. When his son came out to him years later he said he handled it very badly, not believing his son was gay. I can only imagine how badly it would have been had he not went through it all with me first. Personally, coming out was most important for myself, not others, as it was the start of my own transformation from being a fake (straight guy) to being honest. It meant much more to my life than anyone else’s. Total honesty and authenticity didn’t happen overnight. I went on living a double life, dated girls, and guys, and not till I learned to fully love and accept myself unconditionally was I finally able to really stand up for myself and realize the importance of living authentically. There’s no reason to be a fake for anyone, unless doing so will put you in danger. If it will put you in danger or keep you off the team, then I say lie like hell. Stay safe. Enjoy life. Be yourself. ❤

Whenever I get trolls commenting on my channel I delete their nonsense and block them from ever being able to post on my channel again. It’s a real hassle to do, I realize, but I think it’s important to do to keep my channel a safe and happy place for the good, decent people who want to visit and watch my vids. I consider my channel an extension of my home and just like my home, I expect guests to be decent, kind and respectful or leave. I never interact with the trolls. Some are very passive aggressive and say things in a way that makes me think twice before pulling the plug on them, as I’m unsure if they’re being intentionally mean, but the bottom line is.. if I feel they’re someone I wouldn’t enjoy hanging out with, then I delete their nonsense and block them. I see a lot of channels create reactionary videos feeling like they need to respond to trolls, but honestly I think that’s a mistake. Better to delete and block them, and just swallow the hurt. I’m a sensitive guy too, and an intelligent smartass, so part of me wants to fight back, but I know it’s a mistake. As some of those people are psychos, and if entertained, might not only become more trolling but possibly dangerous. I know some RU-vidrs who were threatened and feared for their safety, which I think they were partially responsible for because they replied to the hater’s comments. I think of it like this. Crazy people are in a cell screaming at the wall. It’s best to ignore them. Otherwise, if you don’t, you will become the wall they’re screaming at. You’re obviously a handsome masculine guy. Humans are much too complex for labels. I have dated masculine guys like yourself my entire life. Because, sexually I’m not attracted to effeminate guys, never have been, never will be. There’s millions of us masculine gay men who are constantly coming out to people our whole lives because people naturally think we’re straight. Not everyone is a gay stereotype. Do your own thing, don’t listen to stupid people. Stay safe. My e-mail is on my channel. ❤

I think you are misinformed that bisexuality is binary. There are many bi people who are trans or non-binary. On a practical level there isn’t much different between pansexuality & bisexuality. They are just labels to help you understand you are attracted to multiple genders. Sexual & romantic attraction is a spectrum for us who are in the middle of gay & straight. The Kinsey’s Scale measure the level of sexual attraction from 0 to 6. There is probably a scale for romantic attraction as well, but I don’t know it.

The alphabet gang can be as intolerant as the so-called homophobes they call out. I'll be glad when people's sexual behaviors go back into the bedroom. It's absolutely wild how many ppl are willing to limit their identity as a human to sexual preference and behavior. One would think ppl would want others to see who they are beyond sexuality but 🤷🏾‍♂️

Hey Bud, you’ve given voice to so many of us. I’m not the best person to represent the gay community. In fact, living in Los Angeles and dealing with my sexual identity during the 80’s and 90’s, was a huge learning experience for me. I’m just fortunate that I never was a risk taker, it saved my life during a very scary time. I remember watching your first video on coming out, and you struck me as a smart guy, back then. You’ve grown into a valuable young man. You make a lot of sense. I wish you the best and always stay true to yourself. Be well and stay safe. I’m Alex from LA. So glad I happened to find this updated version of you. ❤

Just be you. That's what Ive figured over the years. Dont let your sexuality define you. Sadly in life, everyone wants to have an opinion whatever the situation at hand is. What you do need to acknowledge is that you are "known" to most people. I actually had to google you as I had no idea who this random coming out video on RU-vid was about. People like you who are 'someone' on social media and who are active on social media will always catch the most flack. I am a non entity , thankfully and dont ave to deal with PR issues and gossip on the scale that you do. You can choose to take a lower profile like many well known actors /actresses have done . pYou only hear about them when they are in a movie, otherwise they get on with their lives in silence.
