As someone who has consumed both stories, I just prefer Fairy Tail for the art, characters, power system, and overall themes of friendship and comradery. I still want to give Tabata his flowers for his work on Black Clover. Someday I need to try to pick up an art book for the series.

In the beginning of this video I don’t think rukia would let ichigo wipe out those hollows, especially orihime’s brother like that. Even if she can’t fight I the hollows she should at least be able to purified the hollows after ichigo injures them a bit. Plus I’m quite sure rukia would’ve explain to ichigo what he is and what him killing the hollows would mean for the balance of the universe and I don’t see ichigo pointlessly putting everybody in danger like that. So I only think he would completely destroy only the first hollow that attack his family.
Official translation is better than app translation. But I always want to read some manga without official translation. So I usually read them on Pixiv by using Immersive Translate to help me 😂.
Noticed it years ago. IA read it there were less than 100 chapters. The number of people who deny the obvios similarities to Naruto and Fairy Tail, are either in denial or haven't watched enough Shounens to see that they have much more in common than they are different. Boku no Hero and JJK might have taken a little inspiration from older mangas, but they had their unique aspects that gave them their own style and personality. Black Clover on the other hand has so little that wasn't already tried that they make Fairy Tail seem original by comparison AND THEY HAVE A CHARACTER THAT'S LITERALLY A REMAKE OF SHANKS FROM ONE PIECE!

@@BytheVolume The reasons I have are in abundance, but I guess the big thing that gets me was how fujimoto is basically toying with our expectations for the story in part 2 which makes for a better mystery element. The twist that the "justice devil" was really the fire devil was one of the craziest in a while. Seeing the hybrids from part one in a different context is super cool as well, and I think Yoru and Fami are just as if not more scary than makima, because of yoru's capacity to get stronger, and fami's ability to act from the shadows in a way that not even most of the fans can pick up on. She orchestrated the chainsaw-head outbreak AND the falling devil attack, which is devastating and horrifying on a much grander scale than makima was capable of pulling off with public safety's support. Part 2 has done nothing but capitalize on what part 1 set up, and while I personally enjoy certain arcs from part one more, I can't complain about what we've been getting.

I feel like with each new chapter there is less and less things that made me like chainsawman in the first place. To the point where i dont care whatever happens to any character in the series
I feel the same and I will put an example with the recent chapters: Power's death with Nayuta's death: They both lead to the same thing, Denji losing his mind and turning into the True Chainsaw devil, but the thing is that Power's was heartbreaking and devastating, meanwhile Nayuta's was like "oh, she's dead" and nothing more. Part 2's main problem is that it's characters don't get their time to shine and develop, every character barely have any defining trait and compared to Part 1's they absolutely flop, Fami is nowhere near the same character as Makima, she isn't imposing, intimidating, fearsome, mysterious and interesting, everytime she appears and speaks like an absolute idiot, I go "shut the f$ck up, please just shut the f$ck up" Fami and Fumiko are by far the worst characters in the history of shonen as a whole they are so ANNOYING
@@edgieststalker8141 yea i completely agree, Powers death was tragic, and Nayutas death didnt have any emotional impact, which is even worse because Nayuta in one of the few good characters in part 2. I feel like since chainsawman church arc plot was going downhill to the point where nothing makes sense anymore

I think more people need to know about the other manga companies out there - if they are looking for something new to read. Companies like Saturday AM. They have a collection of good series that look and feel like classic shonen jump titles

Chainsaw Man. The author didnt create this series as Shounen. It was created to spread a specific message. The fights are just the cherry on top. And its starting again, with chapter 171, new devils are introduced. Chainsaw man is in his God Of War form. He is back. He's gone berserk, long gone from his sanity (nayuta) which was keeping him tied together. The beast. Kishibe knew, denji needs something to be tied down to. Thats why he introduced nayuta to denji. But with her gone, denji is broken
I still enjoy part 2 like we go back and forward to see what denji and asa are until now they are linked in the conflict of this currect arc that now Asa know that Denji is Chainsaw man. And if people think that fujimoto forgot character like Kobeni, Kishibe and Reze. Or the plot where denji have to find power If I would to guess that will be for part 3 if Fuji make another part cuase this saga is the Academy saga from what the chainsaw man wiki show and Fuji got the BALLS to show cum in the end in 167 make me respect him (i'm looking at fire Punch). But their some more that I like but I don't want this comment to but too long.
For me, I fell out of interest for Chainsawman simply because of the lack of real, tangible conflicts. A lot of csm fans defend the series’ lack of fights by saying it’s not a typical shonen manga, but me personally, I love fights, and I love how visceral csm fights get. Fights to me can express interest and introspection in a character and without it, I feel like a lot of the characters feel like cardboard standins for.

Part 2 is far better than part 1 Better world building, better character development and story wise too part 2 is a bit more interesting for me Meanwhile part 1 followed ur avg Shounen formula (80% action- 10% story-10% character development in this too the only characters i can feel like got a bit of time to breath and develop were aki and power rest just died without letting to know them better and denji was almost the same) but yeah there was a lot if action so ppl liked it thinking its ur avg Shounen but now that Fujimoto is writing in his own style which is rather similiar to seinen mangas ppl dont like it that much Best example is how Vinland saga s1 was liked by a lot of ppl but most of them dropped or complained about it after s2 cuz unlike s1 it didn't focus on action anymore and this is the obvious reason of ppl losing interest in csm too All those "i cant understand story anymore we are not going anywhere or we dont a real have real goal" are just excuses these ppl either dont like it cuz of what i said above or they binged read part 1
To me part 1 was just way too fast. Every arc lasts like 10 chapters and by the time I start to like or care for a character they're already dead most of the time lmao

Chapter 167 is actually a really good chapter, I know a lot of people with sex related traumas and it kinda hit the nail on the mark with how a situation like that could unfold

Maybe its me, but Im happy WSJ is struggling a bit. I'm a bit older, so series like Dragon Ball, Fist Of The North Star, Samurai X , Slam Dunk and Rokudenashi Blues were peak WSJ. Mainly cause each series has their own flavors. I did drop off from WSJ around the late 2000s to early 2010s, mainly cause I noticed the same themes: Huge Cast of characters, going to a school, and each characters has a dream. Sounds like a, "THAT IS Shonen" answer , but the series I listed dont follow those rules. I think what broke me away from WSJ was...MHA, which (PERSONALLY, my 2 cents) follow the: Huge Cast of characters, going to a school, and each characters has a dream RULES. (Being Safe) I feel like CHAINSAW MAN finally shuck up the rules, and gave WSJ a chance to try out different themes. I dont see Spy X Family or Sakamoto Days in early 2010s, since WSJ was number 1 the whole time by following the safe rules. So, just hearing WSJ is NOW struggling just a bit, just a little, just means they might try out different themes. Yeah, they can go back to HUGE CAST/SCHOOL/"MY DREAMS" Rules and play it safe, but the fact Spy X Family/CHAINSAW MAN/ Sakamoto Days are a massive hit, and all dont follow the safe rules, means WSJ might take another chance on something new.
Hey you’re not wrong. Series with a smaller cast will have time to properly develop those characters and make the readers feel invested in them. In regards to series doing things outside the box, I personally am enjoying Akane Banashi. It’s not your run of the mill action Shonen, and seeing its success proves WSJ should at least be more open to trying different.
