I can only imagine what it was like being a Japanese teen back when Naruto was still in its early runs. Witnessing peak back to back with no breaks must’ve been crazy.
The release schedule of the Naruto manga, coupled with the enormous worldwide demand for Naruto content and the complexity of the anime's storyline, must have been incredibly exhausting for Kishimoto. I love his work immensely, yet it’s important to remember he is only human. It’s disheartening to see many of my favorite creators overwhelmed by such intense pressure and stress. I cannot begin to imagine the sacrifices that many manga creators must endure. They are compelled to sacrifice their health, personal relationships, and well-being to satisfy both a demanding public and the extensive network of individuals whose livelihoods depend on the consistent output and success of the manga. I could never.
I really hope that at some point after Boruto has ended that Shueisha/Shonen Jump and Kishimoto make a Naruto franchise equivalent of DB Super/"Naruto Super"/Naruto Akkipuden and/or true reboot with a remix/difference of story direction. Though, I expect a remake anime of OG Naruto is all but guaranteed to happen before anything else does after Boruto.
reminds me of jojo and rental girlfriend as the closest now. There was a period around 2003 where after normal releases there was a gap before releases sped up.
Whenever I go through and reorganize my manga when I buy new ones I always stop and look through my Naruto mangas because that the first manga I got my mom would get them for me back when they 7.95. And when I look through volumes 16-27 I always remember back to when I was so excited it was finally catching up to shippuden man I miss being 10
