I’d advise against using Zum laundry soap, as it can be harmful to machines. Soap and detergent are two completely different things, with soap requiring friction to be removed. Soap also has a tendency to gum up/build up in a machine similar to fabric softener. Had a friend who had this happen with a washer and now she avoids it.
@@scottwilliams5282 Hi! I’ve been using Zum for over 2 years now with zero issues, in fact I experimented with it a bit and found it it actually dissolves much easier than many other brands of detergent, even in cold water. I haven’t had any buildup on my machines since I started using it. I run the clean washer cycle with an Afresh tablet monthly, and so far so good! Trust me it is nowhere near as bad as fabric softener lol!
Do you have a video of removing and cleaning the washer seal? That thing gets really gross and needs to be cleaned. I know it’s possible with other LG washers just not sure how to do so with the wash tower.
Nope! Since this dryer is a traditional vented style, it simply expels the moisture outside. When activated, the Steam jet is used pretty sparingly so there isn't a need for a drain :)
When I did this livestream I planned on selling & replacing this machine afterwards, because it was starting to have problems. Of course, the very next time I tried doing a load, it died again which sort of foiled my plan, and the replacement had to wait until January Since SQ's warranty and customer service are terrible, it took nearly 4 months to get this machine fixed again. After that, I sold this set and picked up some new Maytags. For the record, If it says "last wash" or "final laundry day" etc, It usually just means it's the last video of the machine I'll be posting :) I still had to use this one a bit more in between repairs Thanks for watching!
@@UdayDhillon-t3o This TC5 was my second machine, I had it for about 14 months. I had one more SQ, a TR7, which I had for a year and a half before it completely died and had to be replaced Currently I don't own any Speed Queen machines
@@UdayDhillon-t3o Currently I have a Maytag MHW8630HC4 Front Loader. I love it so far! I don’t think i’ll be buying another SQ for a long, long time. They’re too expensive to be that terrible :/ I’ll be posting a review on the SQs sometime soon!
This was a little while back, and I wasn't as skilled at editing yet, plus there was some background noise so I put some music over it. More sprinkler videos might be on the way next summer!
@@wascomat534 It is a nice car, but unfortunately it isn’t mine :( This was another rental I still have about a year or so to go before then, but when I do get my first car/truck, I’ll keep everyone posted!
Sold!!! Nissans used to be very very reliable cars. I hope they still are. We still have my fist car, a 1991 diesel Nissan Patrol jeep with 2800cc engine 🥰 loved the vídeo!! No words needed to sell such cars 🥰
I haven’t had a whole lot of experience with Nissan but they’re definitely good cars and they seem very reliable! They’re also a great value! Thanks for watching Margarita, glad you enjoyed!
I used HE detergent, which is designed to produce less suds for better rinsing performance in these newer machines. Generally with Front Loaders HE soap is required
@@moment.3.2.1yt The “rotator” is pulling the clothes torwards the center, down to the bottom and back up sides of the wash basket, creating Turnover. This system has been used for decades and is very effective. It moves slower than some other agitator machines due to its wider 180 degree stroke, instead of agitating more rapidly at something like a 90 degree stroke.
The 4 recirculating TurboWash Jets recirculate water over the clothes so there isn't as much need for a deep puddle of water in the tub. This machine does fill very high compared to many other front loaders though! If you're asking why it doesn't fill up to the glass like a laundromat machine, the reason why is this isn't a commercial machine designed to hold that much water. Those machine have no suspension and are mounted to the floor so weight isn't a problem for them, and those machines generally cannot be paused because opening the door would cause a flood. This machine is designed differently, but still does a fantastic job!
i dont think you will have this washer beacuse it smells like a chips its not cleaned you have to buy another washer and you have to throw this washer WM3500CW this washer is not good job washing...
This machine smelled fine, I regularly ran Affresh washer cleaner tablets through it. The only reason we got rid of these is because we ended up moving the laundry setup downstairs into a different area, and that area required a stackable machine so instead of building a platform for the matching dryer to sit on, we sold these and bought the LG WashTower. These were (probably are) still running when we sold them. This machine also did a pretty good job washing, especially compared to my Speed Queen TR7. Also next time, PLEASE add some punctuation to your comment. Thanks!
I definitely think it does! Despite the TC5's strong agitation, its shorter wash times don't allow the detergent to work as long, and it also has a hard time rinsing large loads due to its short rinse time/agitator design. The LG also consistently cleans well regardless of the load size, while the TC5 doesn't do as well with huge loads, and may damage the clothes at the bottom of the washtub if there isn't enough turnover. If you don't wash extra large loads in the TC5, you shouldn't have those problems, but with the TC5's tiny capacity that means you have to do quite a few more loads and use a lot more water than with the LG's large capacity, which has the capability to do a huge load, clean and rinse it well, while using only a fraction of the water. I am planning to do a stain test on this LG soon if I can, and then it will go up against the TC5. All in all this machine does clean and rinse much better than the TC5 in my experience. When I used this instead of the TC5 for a while the clothes felt much softer and cleaner overall, even though I didn't change detergent or dosages. :) Hope this helped! Thank you for watching and commenting!
1. Yes it is very loud 2. Incorrect, this is one of the few machines that actually lets you have Hot water straight from your tank, with no cold added. If the hot is coming out warm with this machine, then that means your water heater can’t keep up or isn’t set hot enough. :)
@@michaelharris7840 Yep! The Normal Eco is the EPA mandated cycle for energy and water savings, so it doesn’t allow true hot water, or an entire tub of water
My washer is very loud in the spin cycle. Sounds like it’s about to take off. I don’t know if it’s an issue or it’s because it’s spinning so fast. I have a video on my channel of my washing machine in the spin cycle. Watch it if you want to know what it sounds like.
Hi! Your machine is an early 2009-13 VMW platform machine made by Whirlpool, and it sounds like the bearings or drum spyder are shot. Both are fairly common problems for those types of machines. Generally in my experience bad bearings usually mean that the machine isn’t worth repairing or needs to be replaced Hope this helped!
Howdy! You can re-activate the drum light by holding the Pre-Wash button for a few seconds, but after 4 minutes it will turn off automatically. In the video I edited out most of the parts where it turned off and i had to come back and re-activate it. Thanks for watching, Hope this helped! :D
Thanks for getting back to me I appreciate it! Good information too bad LG doesn’t let the lights stay on automatically, you’d think they would for the price point
@@deathbeforedishonor573 Anytime! Yeah they should! They could've made it so that if vou held the button for like 8 seconds then it would override it and stav on for the whole wash. It does look nice with the drum lights on, and makes it much easier to film the wash! My 2017 Whirlpool Front load machine had a drum light that would stay on even past when the cycle ended, until you opened the door. It was great, but I'd always forget to turn it back off again 🤣
The light for the drum stays on for 4 minutes, then automatically turns off. As far as I know there is no way to make it stay on for the entire wash. In this video, I had to come back every so often and re enable the drum light, then edit out the parts where it was off. Thanks for watching!
I’ll try to do the dryer, but currently I have a video on the normal cycle with default settings :) Here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nWTv_eL7DSQ.html
I haven't had any problems with this machine, or my Maytag at home yet. LG makes very reliable computer boards and good machines all around so they're very reliable Although all modern appliances are more prone to failure than say, machines made in the 90's, there are better and worse. I had two Speed Queen washers that both broke down from the same computer board issues, but neither of the two LGs i had have ever had any problems. Thanks for watching!
Actually compared to some other front loaders it uses a pretty high water level. It filled up to about 2 inches deep on this wash, and with the TurboWash 360 jets it really did a good job
I just bought a TC5. If I open the lid while it's filling or washing the machine pauses. I think there is a way of bypassing this but it's not that big a deal.
Yep! You can bypass it by placing a clothespin on the switch behind the console, there are a few videos on youtube on how to do it. After you do that the machine will, Fill, Wash and Spin with the lid open.
Oh You Own The Truck Or Your Parents Do? And BTW I Love The Color. Also Can I Borrow The Video? I Want To Use The Video For The Review On My Car Review Channel And On My Roblox Car Startup Channel.
Neither, It's a loaner while one of our trucks is in the shop. I think the color is awesome also! Do you mean just a few clips of it or the whole entire thing?
@@wascomat534 Idk about that yet. Plus YT is giving me a bit of a hard time with the song at the end, so you prob will have the same issue. I'm fine if you do like short clips here and there and credit me, but I'd prefer if you don't use the entire video. :)
