I think what you mean to say its, "use very dry for maximum coal burning and stereotypical american roasted clothes"... "Very dry" in fact will *lower* efficiency as, once fabric begins to dry, more of the heat energy is wasted out the vent rather than being used to evaporate water. In addition, less latent heat remains in the moist fabric when removed from the dryer and less moisture is able to be evaporated by the ambient temperature room air. You're giving up what was essentially "free drying" by not allowing the latent heat of the moisture left in the fabric to drive that moisture off. That being said, all resistance electric dryers are effectively 100% *inefficient* since they waste exactly 100% of their heat energy without reusing even 1% of it.

@@dregenius I can see what you're saying, however I sometimes use higher heat and dry levels, and remove lighter/delicate items and leave stuff like my heavy duty work jeans in, which don't get dry easy. if I'm drying stuff like socks of course I wont use very dry. I like this LG dryer because it can get a normal cottons load done in 40 minutes or less, but the washer's spin speed also has a lot to do with that. Like I stated on another comment of yours, this isn't a concern to us. This is all part of the big agenda, save resources, sacrifice performance, benefit the government. These dryers are traditional for America, and work very well. Yeah, electric dryers eat up some energy, but not as much when they have good sensors and technology like this LG here. I still would take an electric dryer over a gas dryer because of the clothes sometimes smelling like gas when they come out because up where I am we don't have Natural gas, only LPG, which aside being very expensive right now, emits more of a burning smell in my experience. It also requires a conversion kit, which isn't always available or hard to do in a machine like this. When we were setting up this laundry room, we had to do quite a bit of gas work and were perfectly capable of installing a gas dryer but, for reasons above we didn't. start the fire. Hahaha If you meant that I should have gotten a heat pump dryer, that was considered for a short period then ruled out for many reasons. Cheers!

@@dregenius So? And? I want dry clothes! Is that a lot to ask? This is why I use high heat and very dry st times. This is especially true for towels and jeans.

@@DylBuilder1 I'll take an "energy-wasting" electric dryer. At least they're more energy efficient than these stupid crappy heat pumps which take for years to dry.

@@wyzemann No not at all, the Nature green is a much deeper darker shade of forest green, the avocado green of 70’s was much lighter and had a tiny yellowish hue to it Cool little tidbit though KitchenAid actually brought back a full range of colors for their new commercial style ranges, hope that becomes a thing again for all new appliances! But yeah they’ll do anything to make something sound new when it’s not :P

LG is awesome! The model below this actually doesn’t have the 360 turbowash, just the regular one. I have a few vids up with it on turbowash, and it’s pretty cool! The main difference is the atomizer fill jet which usually triggers midway through the wash/all through the rinse.

Howdy! You can re-activate the drum light by holding the Pre-Wash button for a few seconds, but after 4 minutes it will turn off automatically. In the video I edited out most of the parts where it turned off and i had to come back and re-activate it. Thanks for watching, Hope this helped! :D

@@deathbeforedishonor573 Anytime! Yeah they should! They could've made it so that if vou held the button for like 8 seconds then it would override it and stav on for the whole wash. It does look nice with the drum lights on, and makes it much easier to film the wash! My 2017 Whirlpool Front load machine had a drum light that would stay on even past when the cycle ended, until you opened the door. It was great, but I'd always forget to turn it back off again 🤣

The light for the drum stays on for 4 minutes, then automatically turns off. As far as I know there is no way to make it stay on for the entire wash. In this video, I had to come back every so often and re enable the drum light, then edit out the parts where it was off. Thanks for watching!

This didn't replace the SQ's, this is where the WM3500's used to be. He HOPES that he can get the SQ's replaced soon, but that might take a bit.

Thanks Matt! This didn't replace the Speed Queens. We moved the laundry at this location from upstairs to downstairs, hence the need for a one piece/stackable set. This REALLY surprised me for a modern machine, it seems to be built pretty well and the cleaning/rinsing is SUPER, actually even better than the SQ. I love these! Thanks for watching!

The 4 recirculating TurboWash Jets recirculate water over the clothes so there isn't as much need for a deep puddle of water in the tub. This machine does fill very high compared to many other front loaders though! If you're asking why it doesn't fill up to the glass like a laundromat machine, the reason why is this isn't a commercial machine designed to hold that much water. Those machine have no suspension and are mounted to the floor so weight isn't a problem for them, and those machines generally cannot be paused because opening the door would cause a flood. This machine is designed differently, but still does a fantastic job!

Yeah those delivery guys.. How hard is it to see " C O L D " stamped right by the inlet. Or they think they know more than the manufacturer.

My 2017 Whirlpool WFW92HEFW FL actually used a lot more water to rinse than wash. Lg makes great stuff though!

@@DylBuilder1 My Whirlpool also uses more water to rinse, but sometimes, it uses practically no water for a rinse, even for a full load where it used at least some water to wash. Don’t know why. It’s not just the normal cycle that does that. Although, I try to stay away from that cycle, because it is garbage in my opinion.

Hmm. I never really noticed the low rinse level with my 92, Because even if it had a fairly low level on the 1st rinse it would fill up deep on the 2nd rinse (Cycles other than Quick and Normal with 2 default rinses). Nowadays on pretty much any washer the Normal cycle is the worst because of the EPA and DOE regulations. However the Normal worked alright on mine. Ours are exactly the same, the 0th revision so IDK.

@@DylBuilder1 That’s the reason I try to avoid the normal cycle. I mainly use quick wash, cold wash, whites, and heavy duty. I don’t love waiting an hour and a half for it to finish, but if I use light soil, the wash won’t be long enough for me.

@@maxbubbles6009 IIRC Normal/light soil is around a 10 minute wash so I see what you mean, but I think normal is better than cold wash. I just always used Normal on Normal or light soil or sometimes Colorlast on normal or light soil for everyday wear, and then Whites for whites (that's actually a good cycle) then heavy duty for large or heavy items like rugs and blankets. I never thought the normal cycle was horrible, it was the cycle I used most. usually it only took around 50 mins.

It does seem pointless but remember that this is basically a stacked LG front load set, but in a one piece/tower form and with a shared control location. The cold water for the washer already has to have multiple different valves to operate the prewash, main wash, bleach, and softener dispensers. Having another valve for the steam that goes off the washer's cold water supply would mean that the washer would have to be on and feeding power to the solenoid if only the dryer was running. But that's not the only problem, the diverter that runs all the different valves can only do one at a time, so if the dryer was taking steam and the washer was trying to fill, there would be a problem. The 2nd inlet for the steam fixes those issues. And there's also a floor in the dryer so that mean some sort of long hose would have to go through the floor of the dryer, into it and connect all the way up to the bulkhead (back part that doesn't rotate) of the dryer. So the 2nd inlet is the smartest option.

They’re still two separate pieces, but both controlled thru the center dashboard. If both washer and dryer were one big piece, the inner workings would be way too complex.

Actually compared to some other front loaders it uses a pretty high water level. It filled up to about 2 inches deep on this wash, and with the TurboWash 360 jets it really did a good job
