Welcome to the channel! We are Tuva Bjerketvedt and Vebjorn Kielland. We love fly fishing, travel, nature and most of all trout slowly rising to dry flies. We are here to share the best moments with you!
I really enjoy your videos! Beautifully filmed, great locations, amazing trout and good subtle humor make them really fun to watch! Thanks, keep it comin!👍✌️
Hopefully as soon as possible ☺️ We’ve been stuck with work after we got back from traveling but we’re trying to make time to get back to editing again!
Tying fly at the river and then not to tie it to the leader? Yes! That was the masterpiece of screenplay, especially with this cicada out of plastic bag 😂❤
Great video & some very nice fish guys. Yeah, unfortunatley the glare and cloudy conditions are not great for spotting fish. Love following you on your journey around our beautiful NZ / Aotearoa.
Another great video. Love those monster trout. We have the same boots. I am on the South Island fishing in the Nelson area but heading to Christchurch next week. Any suggestions on rivers to fish? Like this one? Looking forward to the next video.
At 3:12 or so, I tie a butt section in, so I can take more time with the nail knot to make it super smooth, and I glue it, which makes it even smoother, and then you definitely don’t need to worry about the tag end. A blood knot is then applied to the new leader.
Just plain awesome. Thanks so much for doing this NZ series. Amazing fishing, but I think it’s your authenticity that really makes it special. Safe travels!
Great stuff guy's. What a mistery that will remain, the what ifs will linger of how big that fish was but thats fishing. The hunger will drive you for more. Great content..
So glad to hear that you enjoy it as much as we do! The fly rod is from a European brand called Arctic Silver Flyfishing. They are quite unique we like them a lot. The purpose of tge unusual handle is that the blank can bend inside the handle (its hollow)
I fished a river known for sea runs in early March and was thinking some fish were in already. I lost a fish I was sure was 6 kg on a dry fly 😢but did land a couple of 3 kg and one of 4.5. They all acted like resident fish though … appearance was a bit different- less colours
