My kid asked me play something new so she could sleep. Past few nights its been ocean sounds. When she made this request, for some reason thins opening menu theme came to mind. Its wild to then come to the comments and see similar stories. It truley warms my heart. We are all adults now and in some way shape or form have adapted this piece of our childhood to mesh with our current lives and children. It really is a beautiful full cirl5to witness as a grown man now. My kiddo is 10 now🙂 And i gotta say, man i love all you guus here😅. Yall really made me feel good this evening readi g all this positivity
people will never understand that this and many other moments are what make this my favorite out of all the games, and no amount of graphics will change my mind.
Unique important features of characters: 1. Ranger gets damage and range modifier from high ground. Ground height affects nothing else in the game so most people never learn about this. In other words, only the ranger uses the terrain in any way. Also has the only weapon that can hit a target outside of the normal aggro range. 2. Warrior has a choice of 3 primary weapons. Every other character only has one primary weapon. 3. Necromancers are surprisingly versatile. Most people who start as a Necro never play anything else because they feel restricted in their possible tactics by other professions. 4. Elementalists are the easiest to play. You deal massive damage and you don't have to worry about learning melee mechanics 5. Monks are only good for keeping a party alive. This slows pve somewhat as the henchmen in the party must do the killing for you. The Monk role in Guildwars is unique. 6. Mesmers are for pvp, they are the hardest to pve with, requiring an understanding of every build that you fight. This profession requires the most intelligence to play well 7. Dervishes are the most popular solo choice for completing the game, because they work best with no cooldown between fights and get through missions fastest 8. Paragons are extremely weak in pve because they buff the whole team and had to be nerfed to hell for pvp where a team of 8 paragons was untouchable. 9. Ritualists are the best solo farmers. Most people trying to get rich in the game have a ritualist 'spirit spammer' where the same build works on anything from outside aggro where you are unseen 10. Assassins are the melee equivalent of mesmers. If you know the build you are fighting you win. Otherwise you lose.
Hey man, this is great information! One thing I'd like to ask, I'm kinda just here to get to hall of monuments for the moment, which story and what class would you say is easiest to do it solo with? I just wanna run in and get there with little thoughts and hiccups.
It’s really heart touching hearing everyone had such an amazing experience playing this game growing up. And I’m really glad it has meant a lot to you. I only started this game 2 weeks ago with a friend watching me play. She has been playing this game since she was 6 years old, and hearing her reactions to certain parts as I go through the game was really sweet to hear because it really brought back memories for her. I have really been liking this game, although I wish this could’ve been part of my childhood but better late than ever right?
Our childhoods are over and now everything's miserable. Why do we bother? Why do we bother waking up knowing the rest of our lives is just gonna be the same tedious boring crap over and over and over and over until we die or forget everything. Why?
Everytime I go to the Beach and look out into the Ocean, I think of this song and Destiny Islands. This music will stay with me until I die, maybe even beyond that.
Might not beat the game today, or tommorow, or the next day, or the day after but this goddam music gives me hope one day I'll kill that son of a b*tch but until then ima be consumed by this music for all eternity.
Played a DS version of this game when I was like 5 or 6 I think it might’ve been chain of memories and it was my older brothers DS and I had no idea what I was doing but I was having fun at least but I’m 17 now and still waiting for KH4
It's such a wonderful feeling to see so many stories and good memories come from this game and this song. I am happy we have those memories to return to.
never really played kingdom hearts myself, but of all the versions of dearly beloved i've listened to, this one is among the best SOLELY for how humble it is in comparison to the others. just a soft piano melody in a white void, accompanied only by the sound of waves against a beach
that is what the newer renditions of DB are missing man. That simplicity. The newer versions are so ambitious that it makes you appreciate KH 1, KH COM, and KH2's renditions of DB
thanks for this vid, not a lot like this. i rolled monk/ele and got LDOA for my first (new) character. i hope it’s viable long term as a main supporting heroes
I wish I could find the portal like Donnie Darko does. I want to see me tucked in my bedsheets playing this at 6am trying to squeeze as much time on it before I had to go to school. The sky was dark outside still and all was quiet in the world.
As a musician for most of my life, who's been professional at various periods and has heard an ungodly amount of different music, I've been well convinced for many years that this is maybe the strongest contender for the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard. I recently played this on the piano for a fellow musician friend, and when her ears perked up at how beautiful it was, I looked this up and starting playing her the original menu version here, and when I looked back at her, she just immediately stopped, stood intranced, with her eyes closed, just completely lost in it. It still takes me back to me in early middle school borrowing (and never giving back) a copy of the game from a friend and just being gripped by the sounds and first visuals of the game.
2024... and I still cry to this.... damn... its been soooooooooooooo long. I considered it as background music at home even when I finished the game...
