My love affair with makeup and skincare runs deep. I love trying new and discovering what I've missed from the past. Being "middle aged" has never seemed appealing, but showing viewers how I use skincare and makeup to make "middle aged" the best it can be is my passion.

@@betzie2 for the most part my daily food intake is pretty similar. I take a Seeq protein shake (it’s clear whey, so like a juice) to the gym every morning, and oikos 20 g protein yogurt with berries or granola added post workout , lunch is usually a ham or turkey sandwich and some fruit, I snack on berries and nuts at some point, dinner is a protein of some sort with a veg and maybe a starch like sourdough bread (I love making bread) and always a dessert even if it’s only a couple Oreos. If I’m feeling snackish I eat whatever I’m in the mood for just not a lot of it. And since food noise is no longer an issue for me it’s really easy to eat like this. And fun breakfast foods like waffles make an appearance on the weekends sometimes 💖
Thank you so much for sharing your information especially about how to dispose the pens. I was thinking to myself, where do the pens go🤔. Your information was extremely helpful, thanks!
🎉🎉🎉 on the weight loss!!! Your info has been very helpful. I took the deep dive into GLP1s starting with some highly respected online docs and researchers. I was NOT expecting any positives! Surprisingly, learned that it was safe but low and slow was a must to reduce issues and watch the muscle loss. Your video from an actual user hit all the boxes for me. I took my first dose today and feel I have the right information to be successful. Thank you so much! PS: I subscribed cause I love skin care and makeup as well😂😂😂
@@mdgardengirl I’m so glad I was able to be helpful to you 😊 I’m sure you’ll be successful and I’m so excited for you! Thanks so much for subscribing, I look forward to seeing you in the comments 💖
@@brendadaoust6910 if you had any liquid on your skin that would be your sign that it all didn’t make it in. It happened to me once, somehow the pen slipped and I had the liquid dripping down me. I called my dr and they said unfortunately there was nothing I could do. I’ve been extremely careful ever since. To be certain, I keep it pressed against my skin for 10 seconds after the click sound.
Just found your channel and can so relate it made me smile about the reading all the side effects and deciding not to take it. I was approved for Wegovy last year and side effects scared me so didn’t start it. Here I am again I am 66 and decided it’s now or never so have an appointment next mo.
@@carlenearchuleta5455 I’m so excited for you! I was just telling someone yesterday how getting on a glp-1 was literally the best thing I’ve ever done for myself, and I stand by that statement. I wish you great health and success 💖
@@vsee2207 I appreciate your comment. At the 18:55 mark of the video I share that I’ve lost 62 lbs. This video was more of an admission to my subscribers about the overall change in my appearance and my experience using the drug , I really never expected it to reach so many. When it started getting a lot of views I filmed a follow up video detailing specifics, so that video may be more of what you’re looking for. I didn’t discuss the protein grams because that number is based on an individuals calculation based on lifestyle and goals. Basically, a sedentary person who wants to lose weight should consume .8 grams of protein per kilogram of weight. An active person like myself (5 days/wk at the gym of heavy weight training) should consume 1.2 - 1.7 grams of protein per kilogram of weight. And because the total lack of hunger, calories isn’t as important as mindfulness of consuming nutrient dense foods (fruits, vegetables and fiber). I hope this addresses your concerns. But like I mentioned, my follow up video might be what you’re looking for. Thanks so much for watching and commenting 💖
Thank you so much for your insights. I have just started this journey and appreciate hearing from someone experienced. I can especially relate to the "food noise" lessening dramatically
And the thing is, no one should have to explain WHY the want to take these meds. It’s YOUR body! I don’t care if it’s simply because you want to look better faster. So what! Do what makes you happy
I end up just reading the comments. Nine times out of ten, I can get the jist of the video without having to sit through a video where they go on and on about their favorite color of nailpolish etc.
Is there a LOVE button??!! You go girl! You had me after the first minute of this video! Thank you for giving me hope! I'm 56 and I can resonate so very much with EVERYTHING you talk about! "living in a part of the world that no one else was living in..." My sister is always "just going to watch what she eats before vacay" and then loses her damn 8 lbs. in a week. I watch what I'm eating, do fasting, work out 4 weeks before my vacay and I lose ONE pound. I'm Type 2 diabetic, insulin resistant, struggling with my weight most of my life and in menopause and am having all the same issues you talked about and then...Food Noise! OMG...watching TV you don't realize, even on sitcoms, how much food and drinks are shown! It's a trigger for me. Your comments on food noise is 🤯💡for me!! You look amazing, you have an awesome personality and presence as well. I found you via researching Elf products. Keep up the great work and thank you for putting yourself out there for those of us that are...well, too scared! 😳❤
@@kellygosselin5955 I am so glad you found me and my struggles relatable. It seems there are way more of us than we realize. I hope your Dr puts you on a glp-1 because it can be life changing. I wish you all the best and please keep me posted 💖
@@JScottBeauty Wow! Thanks so much for responding - I can only imagine how busy you are. I’m 25-30 lbs overweight and have actually been on Trulicity for quite some time, just was hesitant to post it, but haven’t seen any weight loss with it and the struggle is SO real. My daughter got married last year and I fasted, worked out and managed to lose 20 lbs for the wedding and then also managed to gain most of it back since. ☹ I AM going to ask my doctor about Wegovy…have been researching it as well and, again, thank you for sharing your experience and tips. I’m actually getting ready to watch your update video from 3 months ago. And I do want to say…you had me with your personality in the Elf Holy Hydration kit I saw on RU-vid and I’m now a fan of you!!
@@kellygosselin5955 I’m excited that you’re going to have a Wegovy conversation with your Dr, we women aren’t always great at advocating for ourselves. I’m even more excited to see you in the comments of more of my videos 🥰 Thank you for your very kind words 💞
@@LolMonkey03 if I’m remembering correctly The Ordinary Azelaic Acid is a lotion formula so it would be best to use after your serum step (if you use any serums) and right before moisturizer.
Right when I finished the Medik8, Naturium came out with their retinaldehyde serum and I never looked back. It is so gentle yet incredibly effective and waaaay more affordable. I absolutely loved the Medik8 but saving $$$ for the same results is where it’s at for me 😊
Love the sweetest kitties! I love that foundation, but am not sure I have found quite the right color yet. But I like it enough to keep trying. Great video - thank you!!
Food noise... I thought it was just me!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my god, you just described exactly the sort of insanity I go through daily. My brother mentions in passing he had a donut or a cookie, and my brain latches on to that like a pit bull, suddenly that's ALLLLL I can think about!!!!!!!! until I have it, or finally forget, which is usually days or weeks! And you were talking about feeling like you lived on a different planet than those that can lose weight instantly after an 'overindulgence' period... Yeah, it takes me a year if I lose it at all!
@@_Desiree isn’t it so great to know that you’re not the only one! For me, having the food noise silenced, feels like my mind and spirit are lighter. I hope you can have that too 💖
@@JScottBeauty Yeah, just knowing I'm not just being a hog is NICE!!! I'm so nervous the wegovy won't work for me, I tried phentermine before and it did NOTHING at all for me, scared this will be the same. Your results are amazing! and you look great! I'm happy for you!! I know exactly how it feels to not be able to lose a pound. I had PCOS for about 20 years and it has been a life destroyer for me. I hope to change now! fingers crossed!
Hi J, New here, I just started on Monjurno this week and love it!! I am so Happy for your loss and hope long term this drug is successful. The biggest thing I noticed within 4 hours of taking it was the food noise. This is a game changer and people that don't know will never understand. Thank you for your post.
I am on my 3rd week of Semiglutide. 0.25 weekly…Only want to lose 10-15 pounds….. what’s wrong with me???? No weight loss!!! I feel the same….. nothing has changed! I eat pretty clean, drink tons of water, eat clean protein…. Any advice?
@@tootiewright2909 the .25 dosage, for many people, has a more about getting your body acclimated. I’m sure as you go up in dosage amounts you’ll start seeing the lbs drop. Just keep your body moving and your nutrients up, a strong foundation is so important. Keep me posted 💖
I liked your conversation. The hair issue, see a dermatologist; don't guess. Keep up the good work. I had to go compounded semaglutide because the $1,082 a month for 2 months was very expensive for me, but the pharmacy running out of my next dose was what steered me online. I'm a vet and VA wouldn't prescribe it for me; even though I WAS diabetic.
@@jessicapilczuk4763 no issues with constipation because of the protein. My gastroenterologist did put me on a stool softener about 3 months after I started Wegovy. I take it nightly and everything is smooth sailing 💩
❤ I was on Wegovy for 7 months and switched to Zepbound recently when I stalled out. I was 270 and now I’m 178, almost 100 pounds. :) 😅 Wegovy changed my life and I am forever grateful. I’m 49 I have 2 daughters, single father, I need to live and provide for them. Zepbound is a godsend. I had high cholesterol , stage 2 hypertension , I had sleep apnea , and a stroke in 2021, these medications prevent heart attacks and strokes, I was also pre diabetic, that’s all in the past. I am not going to stop taking it completely, my plan is to change the once a week to once a month. Try zepbound, it’s a better option, and I’m telling you from my experience, no nausea, and a new heightened sense of energy. ENERGY FEELING IS UNREAL!! 😅❤ I’m so happy, I actually feel younger, also happy Please 🙏 Look into Zepbound
Great video! My personal experience is that intermittent fasting changed my life significantly. Adding Wegovy on top of that is I believe a Golden Package! 👌
Congratulations! Thank you for giving me hope! I could almost be you.... I am 57, past menopause, had my thyroid removed, had a Hysterotomy, Had Hodgkin's when I was younger and just found out radiation has damaged my heart so now lots of heart and blood pressure meds. for years I was working out 5 days a week and eating with a deficit daily and not losing anything. So frustrating! Doctor did not know why I was not losing. Hoping for a little help, I just started Semaglutide, week 6 and have lost 5 pounds. I am still in the Load Phase. I know I just need to be patient and let it do it's job. Thank you so much for your words of wisdom.

Thank you for your video. It’s so helpful for many people struggling with menopause, autoimmune disease and trying to shift weight even though they have a healthy lifestyle.
Go slowly weaning off. I'd wait until I was stable a few months. I've lost a whole hunan I'm at target give or take a few pounds up n down for over a year if u go slow when the food noise comes back and it does even after bariatric surgery you will be more able to control it. All the very best
I just took my third dose Friday evening. My side effects have been drowsiness, I'm very thirsty so I drink water all day long. I've had one day where I felt nauseous and it went away. I have always had constipation issues so not really a side effect I can't handle. I think the drowsiness is what is effecting me the most. I have noticed that it last for close to four days. Today is the first day where I didn't sleep all day after my injection. I did take a two hour nap after my workout and lunch. The rest of the day I have little to no energy to do much around the house or with family. I have been doing the injection Friday nights and then using my weekends as my resting days, so I'm not so tired once I go back to work. I noticed that by Wednesday I was feeling less sleepy. Hopefully for my third week I will be able to get all my workout days in. I am so grateful to get to use wegovy as an extra boost in my weight-loss journey. I have had such a hard time losing the 45 lbs I've gained in the last two yrs. Hormones play a role in the weight not coming off and the extreme hunger I get from doing my workouts doesn't help. It's nice to not feel hungry all the time and to be able to focus on other things. I'm hoping the tiredness will wear off and I will be able to lose the weight. Once I get to my goal weight I want to use wegovy twice a month for maintenance as well as keeping up with my strength training and walking. I hope Wegovy is helping others as well. We all deserve to be healthy and happy. Wegovy is not the lazy way out like some people will say. If you are 35 yrs or older and a women, Hormones do play a roll in what happens to your body. As long as you are being responsible and healthy while on your weight-loss journey. Do what works for you. Good luck!❤❤
@@ashesdivide731 your perseverance is admirable. You’re right, Wegovy isn’t the easy way out, because you have to make a lot of adjustments to your life to get the best benefits from it. This is a pretty simple product but I ❤ the Olay body wash with Hyloronic Acid, I think I just spelled that wrong, buy anyhow it makes my skin super soft! It also comes in a retinol formula too and won’t break the bank 😊
