Wait… so THIS is the show “Max Headroom”? Like maybe others, i cant forget the soundbites and snippets of the cartoon face… but i dont ever remember watching the show i guess. I lived in US all life and soemwhere in my 40s. Not sure if it aired. I guess i assumed this was a show that was NOT just a bunch of music videos. Am i wrong?
My goodness, even for the '80s the Daybreak animation looked really poor. Maybe they were hoping at 6am everyone would be so bleary eyed they wouldn't notice. :)
I ordered it off Granada TV now since I watched it im now a weather forecaster for skywarn UK im also a storm spotter site investigator and member of torro tornado research organisation
I was nearly 7 at this point and remember it well. All the adults around me were absolutely delighted she was out. It was the end of an era. And maybe not the best era.
What a great surprise! I worked here from 84-87 so was eagerly watching for faces I remembered. Then, right near the end, there I was!! I remember the mad rush to get all the food on the shelves before store opening. Working the week leading up to Christmas was exhausting as the store was always packed. So many staff and tills open!! Not like nowadays. As someone else commented, lots of smiles, but it was still only 8:30. Thanks for the happy memories 😊
It's sad. How we once shopped. I remember too you could not move for people in m and s and now its changing with online and many of the m and s main stores like this are closing. Nice to revisit how we once shopped. So much has changed but not for the better I feel.
0:10 might be the laziest shot in all of Richard Williams’ animations, just look at how the screws just give up on moving after they stop bouncing like there’s no momentum
