Saw this in 1996 on British TV. Taped it on VHS and watched it several times and eventually it was released on DVD which I bought. It's great to see it on here. The section on the Chimu Civilization and their wisdom accrued from their studies on the relationship between the sea and atmosphere in how it influences the weather is beyond fascinating and very emotional.
I remember getting the documentary booklet for Xmas the year after they aired it on ITV, because 7 Yr old me kept bleeting on about wanting to watch it on TV, but I was not allowed. I was eventually bought the video box set 3 years later by my beloved Great-Nan. My favourite excerpt from the booklet, was the additional comment about the names given to hurricanes - known as willie-willies in Australia. 7 yr old me was elated 😂
