For the clasps couldn’t you have used the combine feature and used the bottom base as a tool body to cut the top and then used offset face to add the necessary clearance?
@HyperMakes
@HyperMakes 8 дней назад
Maybe I could have. I didn't have that approach planned in my mind. Thanks for the suggestion!
@Laborchet

Very nice, unrealistic result as far as printing at this speed goes. Though i do think it should be able to print at 300mm/s provided the hotend can handle it.
@HyperMakes
@HyperMakes 8 дней назад
I agree with you. The performance of the printer depends on the hardware capabilities and tuning of the profiles.
@Laborchet
@Laborchet 8 дней назад
@@HyperMakes what’s the fastest you’ve gotten prints to actually print at? I have an ender I’ve debated doing this to, just want to gauge if it’s worth the performance
@HyperMakes
@HyperMakes 8 дней назад
@@Laborchet i have gone maximum speed of 250mm/s with my Phaetus BMS hotend on sparse and solid infill. Anything faster than that is not possible for my printer as the volumetric flow gets capped after that.
@Laborchet
@Laborchet 8 дней назад
@@HyperMakes is it slicer or firmware capped or the hotend is maxxed out? 250mm/s is pretty damn good though! If the motion system is handling it fine and it’s just a volumetric flow issue you can probably get past that. Have you printed that squiggly flow test thing to see what it actually will max out at? I would disable all slicer and firmware limits then print that test from like 10-30 cubic mm/sec and see if it handles that. Edit: I’m googling the max flow for that hotend is around 20mm3/s so 250mm/s printing speed sounds about right. If motion can handle it, upgrading hotend should let you go faster

What is the maximum speed you can reach?
@HyperMakes

80-100 mm/s on the creality wifi box. After that you get consistent "mcu timer too low" errors and failed prints due to klipper shutdown.

How do you tighten your belts to go this fast, mines are slipping on the pulleys ?
@HyperMakes

I had to tighten the belts finger tight when i had assembled my switchwire. Till today i have had no requirement of tightening the belts. I have used generic belts in my switchwire. Maybe your belts are not properly aligned on the pulleys. Please check that.

comparing your video to the start of the offical SW guide i noticed there are a lot of differences. The extusions used, the buuild plate mount, the y rails. how much does this differ from the voron sw?
@HyperMakes
@HyperMakes 8 дней назад
This build is kinda 60% different than the stock build as the ender-3 pro frame is used for the build. The main differences are the extrusions used, the number of rails and finally the different mods available for the respective stock or conversion build.

how do you do this speed test without printing stuff
@HyperMakes

Hey Kayden. In order to test the printer movement limits without printing, you can either do dry run i.e. print without the filament or use speed testing macros like i have used in this video. Here: ellis3dp.com/Print-Tuning-Guide/articles/determining_max_speeds_accels.html

Sand paper will give even more scratches to the watch. Won't it?
@HyperMakes
@HyperMakes 7 месяцев назад
Technically yes. But the fine grit sand paper helps remove more coarse scratch marks. And lastly the polishing compound helps out even the micro scratches made by the fine grit sand paper.
@immortalbeing196
@immortalbeing196 18 дней назад
@@HyperMakes actually those scratches seem very minor to me. A simple toothpaste + microfiber cloth rubbing could have worked better... especially for a cheap-priced watch.

Hello from Bulgaria my Indian friend,for the display first you use a fine sandpaper 1500~2000,to smooth the plastic until you don't see scratches ,it will be foggy ,and unclear afterwards but don't worry then you take a wool sock or cloth ,and rub it really hard for a long time with your polishing compound or toothpaste, untill it get clear , i have done this on my plastic watches ,same process with less rubbing will work on the case also .All good to you, and your dad .

@@HyperMakes One way to cover the white plastic is go to office supply store, and ask for color paper ,cut opening for the display, and glue behind the glass close to edges so the case edge can hide the mark ,i have seen people do that.
