Since 18 Feb 2023. Named after the locality I grew up in, St.Andrew's Station is my 1st 'proper' layout. As a kid I spent numerous hours playing trains together with my father, brother and uncles. Dismantling everything at the end of the Christmas/Easter holidays was always sad. After about 40 years, I unexpectedly got the opportunity to build this layout with my best friend's help.
Although not prototypical, based on a time period, or region, we do our best to make it look as realistic as possible.
An 00/H0 scale DC analogue layout, split into 10 blocks, it allows two trains to run simultaneously. All points are manually operated.
The locomotive yard has its own DC supply, with block switches controlled from a separate switch board. The newly added carriage yard is also split into blocks, but without its own switch board.
Approx 4.6 meters long: 1st half is 1.40 meters wide, top half is 1.12 meters wide.
