99% of folks that have a bad experience bring it on themselves. I live here so believe me when I say "dont get so wasted you can't behave reasonably, and DONT buy ANYTHING from street dealers. Be polite and say no gracias, and keep walking, they will not follow you. If you do get in a beef with one, dont be surprised when yer all of a sudden surrounded. You will not win. Otherwise yer good to go, have fun, its a great place.
Lmao ! It was so cute yet so strange… yet the bed is super comfy and great for a single person longer stay but after a couple days the narrow middle part of the room was a bit annoying and although it was very cool and everyone is so nice, unfortunately the area was not suitable for more than 2 people and that was pushing it. The iPad was super cool but honestly by the time I went through all the settings on the iPad I could’ve gotten up and just done it manually quicker. The alarm clock was super cool, though it gently woke you up and increased the intensity to get your butt up if you weren’t responding to the lower volume. It gave you a bit of a homey feeling, but yet creepy at the same time , I didn’t like the little raggedy Andy doll missing its legs made me feel a little bit creepy as I am not sure it gave a appropriate vibe for a couple. The people were awesome and our stay was awesome. The rooms were very comfy. I give it a 8/10. Minus 2 points for the creepy doll
You said it right, it's only dangerous if you make it dangerous, you can go way past the 30 av as a tourist and still be completely fine, just take the same precautions that you take in any city in the world at 3 am
Playa del Carmen is pretty safe, just don’t do stupid things or mess around with the wrong people. But I feel a lot safer after 10 pm than many cities in US
is it expats or digital nomads in those bars? as far as foreigners, that's good prices if you're in the tourist/beach area I suppose, here in California its 3-4X that
I have seen people walking with coolers full of beer to avoid paying for beer. I always see people buying large amounts of alcohol at the stores and taking it back to their rooms. People are running out of money.
Zona Rosa is nice ,but stay away from nightlife some places. They do have the milatary with big guns that protect tourists, but there are pickpockets everywhere. That mall is nice but that has criminals there. Change your map,but don't get lost or pull out your phone. Locals will tell you that advice. I liked the plaza, but la Candelaria is dangerous the higher up you go up the hill. The plaza downtown by Plaza Bolivar is dangerous its full of drug addicts, and don't let any older man or woman stop you for anything. You could be followed. I was followed by two blond colombian younger guys that were on that plaza ,and my instincts kicked in and I went into a fashion store, and told the owner that I was being followed. He knew what was going on,and the two guys left. They most likley knew that I knew what they were up too. The merchant seemed to know what they were doing. It was just one of those trips where everything was ripped off.
This is complete BS. I’m a gringo and live in Candelaria. There is so much more to do here than in Zona Rosa. Also, plenty of tourists around. It’s the cultural center and is quite safe during the daytime. At night it has a thriving nightlife and awesome restaurants. Sure, there are dangerous areas. But that is the same in all big cities.
If a bar needs 24 hour security it isnt safe. If the military and police both need to be patrolling the streets that also shows it isnt safe. You simply cant be this stupid.....
i love this you know the cartels have ALWAYS controled the police and now they are just in uniform lol the cartel makes so much money off this area they do not hurt people unless your looking to get in trouble so they are going to take advantage of that lol Pharmasist are cool too if you have the cash for it :] i honestly do not look as them as Cops, i look at them as just normal adults that all work together to protect their money because they are a organiztion just like how they pretty much have all the advacado farms now kicked all the small farmers out they are reallyturning mexico into a industrial country the CIAs opt worked so good, clear the land for us to build and heres you $$$ and allow you to tunnel still under our lines lol......... our new factories are not in china, were already talking to mexico if they do not join BRICs.... i would really love i am planning 2 more years unti lenough saved even the Bahamas is taking a tool, too many drug users in their economy... the horses they were using for tourists looked like the could hardly walk on their own due to no FOOD, i wanted to end that guy and go back on the cruise boat let that horse free but it is an island... and even though they are very skinny n the neck would crack easy.... i had my wife with me, but anyway mexico is just getting more beautiful under cartal control and no government at all, it really is govenments are so curropt a cartel can do it better hahaha xD pretty funny. but yes i am leaven america ASAP i will give up mu guns for the highest price and go across just to get it cheaper.... -.-...... REDICULOUS this country is at war at the citizens do not care back in ww2 it was just a different time, Now i know why they are making for many "civil war" movies or tv shows in the past 7 years, handmaid.. civil war etc... because they know we are so lazy and so comfrotable with publixs across the way, that we will not break that under ANY CIRCUMSTance as long as we have food and water, we willl comply and the government knows this they were giving to much power and soon they will take our guns because one guys just shoot his way threw them trying to take his guns and no neighbors helped, back in the day the would BE DIFFERENT, the only thing keeping people in america are fire arms and now the irch have free labor, you see it on documantarys right now because they getst aking down old people or regular house moms yes i gave her a room, and now she cooks and cleans for a bed and food and help with children does this now remind you of something we had a civil war about lol........... and they are not jjst one race this time.... so they know we will give up our arms to keep our help, and barely stay alive because publix and them will be gone or 10x the price i am glad i have been gardening my whole life, takes awhile to know not what to compost or what mix in to keep certain creatures away also! your remedy for your precious cargo when they grow , cucumbers tomatoes, latucce have the beans and nooodles stashed. , i have made a new rule too during these times i keep 1 month of food instead of 1 week, and i keep refilling my water and rotate in large glass containers, micro plastic are not fun, and filter your own water test that bottled water bet you your filter works better, were all programmed to trust all the people that we should not.... i hope the best for everyone doupt anything will happen but i know this depression those soup kitchens will be very very long lines... very very very long lines.. and if we have a civil war it will not be for a president or anything it would be to push all these people back out of our contry or bury them in it, simply for our jobs back so i can be a man and support my household while my wife watchs the child and cooks like how it used to be, Now you have two parents working so their is no time for parenting , and they barely make the same as one parent did 20 years ago it is CRAZY how this is a dream country still...:/ this generation is so messed up my little sister is 17 a senior. She said the senior boys are the same as the fresh man no difference they just play video games and go to the gym... no after school prograsm no learning how to protect your selfs so school shooters go up because they are scared to get hit by the kid bullying him so he dosent even talk back takes it and just ends it the next day. and it is only going to get worse young kids with no morals... growing up in this gang infested time with ms-13 loading in day by day single adult males. ms-13 setting up shop and getting paid to do so, the next flood of drugs is going to be crazy, good job CIA, They really do there job good.
There's something that I learned about in a real estate investment class that I took several years ago - having to do with on-site security. It's not so much about protecting the customer (although it can serve that purpose too) - but more from the angle of protecting the business owners from potential unsavory future customers masquerading as elegant or mild mannered people who are really there renting to run their own shady businesses within the hotel. This thing, I believe is not unique to this hotel chain. I think almost all of the different big brands are doing it to one extent or another. I was wondering if you picked up on it in the Brickell spot or decided to tune it out and ignore it.... I was in the one in the Bayside spot of Miami recently - when I was tucked in my bed at night in a certain position, and I decided to shift to a new position (to feel more comfortable) I would hear a clicking sound in the ceiling when I started to move and then another clicking sound up there a few seconds after I stopped moving. Whenever I got out of my bed and went to use the toilet section - there would be another clicking sound over that section as I entered and after I left it. If I decided to instead move from the toilet section into the shower section, there would yet be another clicking sound in the ceiling above the shower section as I entered and another click when I left it. In short, people's movements are being tracked and logged in their rooms (and through out the whole hotel) with a combination of motion and thermal sensors - and with that little passkey card. There's probably a camera here and there in the halls and common areas too. Again, this has to do with thinking far ahead to potential courtroom scenarios - if crime is alleged, anyone of these hotel chains will have tons of data backing up their case and protecting their investors cash-flow numbers. But again, did you pick up on all the clicking sounds?
Awesome video, you really did your homework here. Last trip I has a hard time finding good beers on the strip. AND you mentioned the happy hour schedule. Love it! Thanks.
Not sure, but they were very friendly and accommodating at the front desk that I’d imagine so. If not, you can hang out in the lounge until your room is ready.
the beer menu at hop dog enabled me to get a better handle on costs on the strip, since restaurants can vary so widely in costs, those reviews don't help, whereas craft beer is kind of the expected price wherever one might go in America.
Although I really liked the idea of your video's purpose, I didn't really last long in watching. Christmas gets lost in las Vegas except for places like Aria and Bellagio. Sometimes you have to dig for it but your negative tone "for some reason" was just not encouraging enough.
If you have alcoholic beverages in the morning available to the people who like to blow their earnings, why not? There're always people who get tempted easily so you might wanna take advantage of them!
