Videos taken mostly around and about the Pembrokeshire Coast using either GoPro Hero3 Black, DJI Osmo, DJI Phantom 4, Canon EOS 5D Mk2 or Canon EOS 5D Mk 3.
I was on this ship two days after this video went up during storm isher. Definitely a fun experience, I’m not too sure how accurate the spirit level on my phone was, But I measured a list of 17 degrees to each side at one point. Exelent video
I remember traveling from Rosslare to Fishguard in 1969 on Duke of Rothesay a few weeks later when returning to Fishguard the weather turned part of the way across with a nasty swell, I was repelled and nauseated by the the disgusting spattering of people’s guts on to deck, you would turn away to another part of the boat only to at first hear another disgusting spattering and splashing noise as someone else spilled their burning stomach acid ridden contents onto another part of the deck, the stench inside the vessel was HORRIFIC, consequently I spent the entire crossing on deck clinging on to the hope that I too would not succumb, I managed not to but the nausea was terrible, people looking pasty and shuffling into corners their companions trying to console them to no avail, from that day on I have been truly horrified by sea sickness, absolutely TERRIFIED of it…that was 1969 in AUGUST, I will never forget the sheer filth of those passengers spattering their guts up in various corners or at the foot of companion ways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah, memories of wobbling around the f&b deck with a pint in each hand dodging flying items of furniture and small children who weren't tied down in similar weathers over the years
I rode her on the afternoon crossing from Holyhead to Dublin on March 12, 1999, returning to Holyhead on the night crossing two weeks later. She was pretty new then, I think only about two years, and was up to that point the largest ship I had even been on. Very impressive.
Then I thought, gee my art, photography, sculpture, ceramic, glass, stone & metal art collection would hang beautifully here, maybe even attract the approving eye of design magazine feature editors, and environmentalist angel investors and NGO conference venue initiates. All they need is my art, music, architectural elevations, political history essays all comprising a single monumental epic, a book of historical fiction bursting from its sausage casings to rivet some option eyeballs, who will suddenly think they struck gold when I mumble something about my next book on Armenia's early years of the last century, it's heart-wrenching, soul-wringing quality, and how that's just the intro music for the ultra-sober, Modernist B & W story-board that morphs before audience eyes from hyper-staged steam-punk oratorio to Irish nuns holding an anti-Semitic shah hostage when suddenly the Tony/Pulitzer-winning project zooms into, through and out of more Oscars for the most filmically innovative children's story ever to saturate an entire generation's imagination, serving them the last first-ever in human history: an ethical code dressed up in next-millennium technology but clearly vying with bogus patriotism and religious mummery to emerge as the ethic of three, decadal, Husserlian wise mentors, four clear-eyed, Pfluegeresque architects, five dreamy Cavafian interns and a star big-hearted Vaviloveric goofball in a pear tree . . . 🕣🎶🎶. I need a place to finish my panoplyan book with Puccinial music but I'm not swimming in cash. In fact, I could make a lifeguard proud if he keeps me afloat long enough for my regard to pan out when the plebeians sense a winning, "Bambi Goes on a Roman Holiday with a MidDay TransMan on a Waterfront Tigris Named De Zyfir." Discretion and legal safeguards honored like a hawk. But right now this duck needs a boat. Help?!
