Well done Alex Brown, for not adding cacophonous unwanted and unnecessary "music" in the phoney emulation of Wallyhood so loved by all too many RU-vid uploaders. You let wind, wave and motion create the drama of the situation.
I sailed on an identical sister ship, which until then was the biggest I had sailed on, however this video shows in particular that compared to some is small! Great vid!
A Tanker is like a Submarine, unless some thing major fractures it will plough through the waves totally unsinkable. The tanks are already full, so unlike a Ship with holds that can flood in the event of Hatch failure, there is no problem. Of course, if you run aground that is a whole new ball game!!
Ahoy! Is it possible for me to use and share this footage on my youtube page? I share footage from all kind of activities on our ocean. Cargo ships in the 1960s till now, oil rigs, fishing vessels, etc. Of course full credit will be given to the owner of the footage. Looking forward to your reply. Kind regards. Cheers.
They do build them with substantial flexibility there's plenty video out there to prove it, although the bloated costs of running vessel + length and width and drought of hull design aswell as double hull designs and hull plating weight & dimension constraints continue to hamper truly exotic ship designs
