So I have this model ac-552 sku#474-604 UPC#718212045718 and it just started squeaking. I think its a hampton bay and not a Hunter (which has a oil plug for oiling). Do you know how to oil this unit? Thanks

My remote was intermittent. Replaced with a new remote+receiver combo, easy. Same problem again. Tried installing with the receiver antenna placed outside of the fan housing and then it worked perfectly.

This guy's an idiot. All he does is blab, take you to somebody else's video, and then babble some more.

If your remote has the 4 dip switches but NO learn button or NO reset button …..go to the 4 dip switches and switch them from all UP to all Down then back to all UP positions…..works !!! Unknown why no video exists for remote resetting after changing batteries…but worked for me after some frustration…

If your remote has 4 dip switches, turn them off and then back on and same effect as reset button. This was after a long overdue battery change.

That’s crazy! I’ve gone months without a working remote. Mine doesn’t have a learn button but changing the position of the #1 switch did it. Thanks for the video!

Thank you! Anyone inpatient, skip to 2:20 Turn fan switch off at the wall then flip it on Then hold “0” and “3” button for a few seconds. The light above the “2” will flash, showing that it’s paired! It took longer to write this than it did to pair my fan. Thank you guys soooo much! You saved me so much headache

There is no dip switches in the remote receiver ( the black one)

Unfortunately, it’s not that easy and it doesn’t come off as prescribed by pressing up and turning it counterclockwise
