OMG, it worked! Thank you so much!! My Hunter fan was not working at all after I sat on the remote a few months ago. I cut the breaker off. turned the wall switch on, held the 0-3 button for five seconds...and now it works!
Thank you! Anyone inpatient, skip to 2:20 Turn fan switch off at the wall then flip it on Then hold “0” and “3” button for a few seconds. The light above the “2” will flash, showing that it’s paired! It took longer to write this than it did to pair my fan. Thank you guys soooo much! You saved me so much headache
Thank you VERY much. We have 3 identical Hunter fans in our house, & somehow today my wife managed to confuse 2 of the remotes, by trying 1 in a room with a different fan. Reset the remotes by pulling their batteries for several seconds (1 of the remotes had the blue LED locked on). Then, one at a time, powered off a fan using the wall swich, then powered on with zero & three buttons pressed for about 4 seconds. Worked!
After three months of troubleshooting, I almost broke down and bought a new fan. Somehow I found this video today. Needless to say, it fixed three issues and it saved me money! Thank you so much for the video!
Hunter fan company is one of the best to work for. If you ever have a problem, just call their 800 number. They will walk you through everything. That’s how I figure it out that my fan needed pairing when it just automatically stopped working.
This completely worked for my fan (model 52006). Thank you so much for the video! I spent hours trying to figure out my fan remote but couldn't find any definitive info. It almost cost me my marriage.
Model 59242, we think we did this procedure while also checking every single wire connection twice. This is a great help, and thanks. PS, go to 1:20 to see the fix (pairing the fan 12 times to match frequencies). I have no idea why this isn't in the manual.
I must have an older fan. I don’t have any pull chains for either the fam or the light. I turn it on at the wall switch and operate it with a small oval shaped remote. Has a light a fan and up or down.
Trying to limit remote to just work with 1 fan rather than 2. By repeating pairing 12 times to clear memory and limit remote to just be paired with one fan .. does power have to be cut to fan 12 times for pairing ? (or just press 0+3 twelve times )? Tried just pressing 0+3 twelve times to pair but remote still operates fan in other room too.
I wondered the same thing. I don't have a 2nd fan involved. Just one fan. I sat on my remote for 30 minutes and now nothing works. No reset button on receiver
