I found one of these at a thrift for $4, I was so stoked, loaded up a roll, put it in my bag with my MJU ii and went into a party to take some snaps. When I went to grab it, I realised I had left my bag in my car.. went out to my car and my window was smashed, mju gone, xa gone 😢
The link to your instagram that you left in the description of the video is not valid. Apparently you changed your nickname. You could have updated the link and said your new nickname
No, the lens is ok but really not that sharp. I've had several of them over the years and they were all the same, just ok for snapshots at f5.6/8. Having said that, sharpness is not always that important. I kept one of them because of the brilliant design and because they really do fit in a pocket and they have some useful manual controls. My prints were mostly B&W darkroom printed and some were scanned on a high-end Nikon Coolscan and the results were the same.
Man… I feel like I’ve been in a bit of a photographic rut lately and this was just the inspiration I needed. Great stuff as always. Some of these Leica shots were breathtaking!
@@JOPbass I feel like I’ve been in one for almost a year now man, so I know the feeling! It waxes and wanes but keeps rising none the less. Thank you so much and I hope you and your family are doing well!
I don't know who is more happy about this Leica. Loving all these pics and reminding me how insane the last two years has been. Well done on finally getting this out there <3
So damn true! I've had the same feeling from mucher cheaper cameras I won't lie, but the hipsters were right - there is something special about this one... or maybe it's all in my head 😂
@@thefilmdaddy Who cares? You enjoy it and you like to take pictures with it. It's a bit the same with my Hassi. I only got it once to prove it's too heavy, too much fuss, too everything. I just wanted to have it to try. Now it's the one I would never let go...
Thanks so much Colin! The best thing about YT is honestly connecting with other photographers and people in the film community! Going to check out your channel now!
What a nice throwback man! I remember you telling me to try out the M6 and me being afraid I’d mess it up somehow 😂 definitely need to get together again soon! And welcome back!!

This comment literally made me make a new video. Thank you for the encouragement,. My family is all well thank you James, and I hope you are doing well yourself!
It is all of that and more - a tiny little masterpiece ! Use it with a wrist strap - it needs its own special strap / get one if you can it's great to carry ! It's my fav camera ! My other film camera is a Canon AE1 and my digital Camera is my Leica M ! Nice review !
Thank you Brendon, I am very happy you are enjoying the Hasselblad 500CM, keep on taking great photos. If I may ask you was the Black & White film stock you used?
This was really a great video on Vivian Maier, one of the best photographers of all time, good job! 👍 Your excellent presentation along with your interesting reflections on her enormous photographic legacy are top-notch. Well done 👍!
I've had this documentary saved since 2015 and never watched it until now. I am embarrassed to say, I finally watched it this past Friday. What a beautiful photographer she was! Even though Vivian Maier is not with us, she remains one of the best photographers ever.
