My love of sugar cookies and royal icing began at the age of six while making cookies for Santa with my mom. Over the years, I have grown my baking and decorating skills through trial, error and a lot of practice.
Now I’m ready to share what I’ve learnt with the world. Join me on my RU-vid channel (TheCoolCookieShow) every Tuesday for new tips and tricks for making and decorating sugar cookies with royal icing. Don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss any of the fun. You can also follow me on Instagram (@TheCoolCookieShow) and on Twitter (@CoolCookieShow) to keep your on eye on my latest creation.
@@amania.g8721 I use a prism art graph projector. Prison projectors are my favourite because you don’t need to hook them up to your phone or deal with any technology. It’s just a matter of printing the photo and sliding it into the projector and you can adjust the size from there. But at the end of the day, you can use any projector.
Absolutely if you have those resources and those materials go for it. This was more for people who were kind of in a pinch or your projector, dies or something along those lines. I also had not really dabble in stencils at the time of producing this video, but I am in love with them now.
Hi Thank you for sharing this..such a great help.. I plan on doing this next weekend as a souvenir, and will be using the direct gel color method I'm just a bit worried if it will affect the taste of the cookie? Won't it get a bit bitter if the gel color is too much? Hope to hear from you soon it will be much appreciated 💕 Thanks in advance.
A lot of this was review for me, but I enjoyed how you illustrated how to get the perfect consistency! It’s truly an art! I love how you explain things and provide examples!
I am laughing really hard because you are right. This was back when I was using free, awful editing software.. I am so sorry if it hurt your ears. I wish there was a way to adjust it once it was posted.
I hadn't seen a stand up before and these are absolutely adorable. Genius to use a drying rack to hold the cookies upright while they dry. Do you have any videos on making perfect royal icing? I still haven't mastered that at all and you definitely know what you are doing.
Thank you for your kind words. I do have a video on making royal icing. It's the fourth video posted on my channel. It's titled "Really Easy Royal Icing". Thanks for watching!
Your cookies are very pretty. Thanks for the lovely ideas. The only thing is....could you leave the resting hand shots out. It tends to be a little distracting. Ty.
Thank you for your feedback. That was a long time ago and kind of became a 'thing'.... somehow. I don't do anything like that anymore. I sell cookies full time now and make the odd Instagram reel for the business... with no hand poises hehehe. I am glad you found some inspiration in my videos. Have a great weekend!
I would go with 20 seconds. You want it to hold nicely while you layer.. but moving quickly is the key to a flat layered flood. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for this! Super helpful to avoid smarties! If you pipe your royal icing transfers on acetate they tend to stick so they don't move when you paint them.
Hi the video of how to make the cookies is private now. I wonder why ? I can't remember how to make the cookies and your recipe is the one I love they were perfect and not too sweet
