A fun tutorial on decorating sugar cookies with Royal Icing. This week we're working on something magically delicious. This trend is all over the cookie world and I couldn't resit making them.
The Lucky Charms shapes we are; a heart, pot of gold, horseshoe, leprechaun hat, blue moon, shooting star, red balloon and rainbow.
I know there have been many different Lucky Charms marshmallow shapes over the years, but I am going with the shapes within the Cut It Out Cutters set.

Thank you for all of your cute cookie ideas. I have probably 200 cookie cutters. I make the cookies and then I go blank as to how to decorate them. I seem to have a problem with when I do the outline and fill with the flood icing I can’t get the outline and flooding to blend in enough for it to disappear. I’m not sure what to do.

Denise Minor aww the cookie cutter addition. When your edge and flood icing don't join nicely it's extremely frustrating. There are a couple different things that you could try - 1. Add a little more water the icing your piping with to ensure it's not crusting over before the flooding icing comes in. 2. Make sure you flood the inside of the cookie as soon as you pipe the outside. Sometime you see people that will pipe the outside of 10 or 20 cookies before they flood the inside. By then your outer piping has already crusted therefore it's not going to absorb together with the flooding icing when it's put on. Some people like that look but if you're trying to avoid seeing the line, that system won't work. I hope this helps.
