I was 11 years old back in 1973. Got my bedroom walls covered with Slade posters. But their 7 inches and made my recordings wirh that good old Philips cassette recorder. Screaming Noddy Holder and funny Dave Hill. Good memories.

I saw these performances when they originally aired. I became a SLADE instantly. The second I heard the intro to DO WE STILL DO IT I was hooked. The changed my life and started my music journey. Can someone please let me know how I can get a copy of these performances for my home collection? I’ve waited 51 years to see my heroes perform Do We Still Do It, Everyday, My Friend Stan on the Midnight Special again. Thanks in advance.

Slade was neat! I loved how many song titles were misspelled. I loved the title Stomp Your Hands and Clap Your Feet. Do We Still Do It is from that album. This album was my introduction to the group. I saw it in a record store in Portsmouth when I was in the USCG and my ship was in the shipyard. I bought it just to see what this was and been a fan since.

Wow. Thanks for posting this gem. Their first concerts in San Francisco, at Winterland. Sounds like they got a better reception from the crowd than they did a year or two later. Great sound here, definitely portrays a Slade attack. :-) Don Powell and Jim Lea really sounded great, too. And Noddy was able to get this audience to sing along. Amazing, because I really don't think America understood properly what Slade was all about -- a hard rockin' good time. It went over our heads apparently. Our loss. But we've got shows like this on YT, and that is so cool because I was never able to see Slade play live.

Love Slade, especially during the early to mid 1970's. But Done Me Wrong Alright is awesome. This song had Andy Scott's best lead solo -- and this BBC version included here has a different solo and it's just as good. So cool to hear this. All of it. Some of the Slade tracks I hadn't heard before, and I have all of their albums from the first one to Slade in Flame (and the one after that, the one with Nobody's Fools on it). US versions/LP issues, of course, except the first one (Play It Loud) was only available here on import. Jim Lea is a master on the EB-3. Half the time I was listening to Slade's music I was listening to Jim Lea, and I'm not a bassist, really. Just a rhythm & slide guitarist. But that bass! Even on these recordings it's awesome to hear. Thanks for posting this. Peace.
