Besides being a great documentary of Walmsley's first Western States, these music tracks are BANGERS holy cow - that Twenty Seconds Later track overlaying Jim running would inspire anyone on a treadmill workout or just want to get up and go out for a run!! Fire!!
Coming back after Jim's UTMB course record win. "You have to dream big. If you don't see yourself reaching those goals, you will never gonna do it. Whether you are a person that talks about it or doesn't talk about it, you have to believe in yourself and really have to see yourself doing those goals." So many people has the raw talent, but only a few has the determination and the courage to reach the top, what a champion's heart Jim has!
It’s pretty crazy to see his last few (four) blocks walking to the finish line at Placer HS. I literally live one street over and two years ago, I couldn’t make it up the hill walking he was going down. Now I am about to do a 5k and ran my PB since 7th grade. What an inspirational film. I feel blessed to get to live here in good ol’ Auburn. PS: my mom won the Teva cup in the 80s on horseback.
every year i come back to this video looking for some inspiration, still can´t believe that he ran with some Adidas Bostons Boost, also my favorites....
Not just a great moment in WS history but a great moment in sport, all sport, professional or amateur. On the one hand one person giving it everything to attain their personal dream at their own level. On the other the unity and joy of so many people who she doesn't even know willing her on because they know and share in what it means to her.
This man is incredible not just because hes a runner 100 mile finisher but his courage grit but most importantly his attitude after such a sad turn of events he still smiling. Wow no one can take his joy.
Love Jim, what a way to handle the finish. He came back next year and DNF due to stomach issues, and when everyone thought he had a curse on that course, he showed the world how amazing he is! great film!
about to embark on the david goggins 4x4x48 challenge starting tonight. came here for motivation from jim and his story. this guy is such an inspiration for me. calm and honest through everything.
When you run like him you know you can win this thing any year you want so you're not disappointed that looks like he's running in the rest of you guys look like they're trudging he's amazing
Watching in tears, anyone who’s ran ultras knows what this means, and to be so close and to snatch that time, by seconds, that’s a team effort. Running can be a lonely place, it’s amazing to see so many working towards one common goal.
he may win many more races.. but I have more respect for how he lost. Kept going.. Total heart. This is what its all about. We learn more in failure than success
Yo, that no headlamp comment at the beginning of the film was a bad sign in retrospect.. as I’m watching Jim sit in a lawn chair with a headlamp on his head in the dark,..
I think he now acknowledges himself that he just pushed too hard, with his rhetoric before the race and in the race itself. He made the exact same mistake the following year. But of course, he did come back in 2018 to smash the record and that takes some character. Does anyone know if his 2018 time would have beaten his estimated finish time (if he hadn't got lost) in 2016?
Jim's such strong runner & competitor with a great attitude and Jamil such a great film maker, I can't understand the thumbs down. Great job to all!!! Thumbs Up!!!
