No watch holds its value. Once it leaves the store price drops, once unpacked boom price drops, it drops even more when the watch has any traces of usage, so yeah buying a watch should never be an investment for you, unless your watch is truly unique or you are some kind of celebrity it will drop in price with the passage of time.
