Installing now, Q - did you leave the fan wiring connector open, or connected back to the harness? Not sure if I’m supposed to leave it just disconnected, worried it’ll throw a CEL.

See you then when it's time to change the trans filter, now you'll have the same tricky process as the V8 version of f150 for that year! Conclusion: It definitely doesn't worth it (320+ Dollars) More fluid and extra labor for the next maintenances. Thanks and sorry

@@aaronjmv I definitely just did a drain and fill last week just over 60k miles. I laid under the truck for a few minutes and decided I didn’t want the hassle of removing the pan. I am now eyeing aftermarket downpipes with removable center section. I often end up spending more money fixing my “upgrades” than I do on the “upgrades” themselves

Did you end up trimming? Im considering the same set up but theres so much nonsense on the forums about destroying fenders with 37"s. I do go fairly hard on the dunes with my truck, but have a svc bumpers with cut frames and am prepared to trim whatever is needed for the 37"s. Also planning to keep stock 2019 beadlocks
@ruffwrenchn2235
@ruffwrenchn2235 25 дней назад
@@driversreview I still haven’t don’t any trimming. I’ve only gone full tuck like 5 times since I switched and no issues so far. I do imagine that if it was a full size 37” tire like KM3 it would be necessary. I do plan on getting to it eventually, but not worried now.

Nice video. I've been considering 37's on my 2nd Gen but the more I watch, the less the work seems worth it for what I do. I have the front "leveled" from the previous owner which gave me negative rake so I blocked the rear 2" to get my rake back. Adding a Decked system, Leer topper and then the stuff I carry for overlanding necessitated the RAS springs at 40% to keep the truck level and under control, which they do quite well. It rides fantastic now but I know Deaver +3's are in my future.
@ruffwrenchn2235
@ruffwrenchn2235 Месяц назад
Yeah I found the severe lack of weight capacity to be frustrating and way too expensive to fix. Make sure you chat with the various companies that sell the springs...they usually will provide recommendations based on your load and front springs.

The Supercab does not have enough flex in the exhaust because of the shorter distance so the downpipes of the exhaust need to be disconnected at the the turbos. This will allow the exhaust to drop enough for clearance of the PPE pan.

You would think you’d be able to do some measurement/comparison between the stock stubby dipstick and the new one and transfer the markings over. That’s definitely an aggravating install. I have the dipstick and pan from B&M on the way… not really looking forward to doing this on my 2021.

Flowmasters are a horrible way to go with turbos. Can’t hear the start up over the stupid background music. Well, it’s not really background music when it’s that loud. The magnum muffler will break in and get louder. But that is substantially better than the Flowmaster. Flowmaster’s are chambered and turbos do not want any restriction.

Not sure why you drilled...stock holes are there where the plates go 1 on very front 1 on the back of the other back bracket.. Unless that kit says so? But plate with bolt head is not going to do anything to stay in place..? Have done a dozen f150s and plate on front and one on back on each side. Shop you can get BOTH sides for $44 SHIPPED
@ruffwrenchn2235
@ruffwrenchn2235 3 месяца назад
Yeah, the kits I bought were one for each side with the cam bolts included. So it required 8 plates total and drilling where there weren't holes...event came with the template to drill. Maybe just a different kit design.

I replaced without the friction modifier as Amsoil says it includes modifier in all its oils...buuut...since amsoil sells friction modifier I'd say their oil probably still needs it. I haven't used it even on my most recent change, but that's just because I forgot.

Thanks for the video. I have Deaver +2HDs on order and am actually looking at bump stop and strike plate options right now. I have the Timbren SES which are slightly different than your Active Off-Road kit but they both seem to mount offset. I didn't realize that so thanks for pointing that out. Did you notice you had more space between your bump stops and bump stop pad with your lift? I’m maintaining stock height and am trying to decide between the flat or raised bump stop strike plates. Off-Road Alliance carries them both. TIA

Go with the MacBook for battery life. The best battery life I’ve gotten on this laptop was around 2hr 50min doing basic word editing and a single browser open with all the settings set to low. I’m not sure what overhead is causing the battery drain, but I mostly use it as a workstation with dual monitors and only use as laptop when I go out of town. I even bring a tablet with me to watch videos on the plane because I know the laptop won’t last more than 80-90min playing videos.

It looks like they are currently on sale for $1039 on the SPV website. There are other companies that sell a similar kit with Diode Dynamics lights that might be cheaper at different times.
