In this episode I’m swapping the rear axle from a D35C to a D44HD due to pitting in the spidergears. I’m also replacing all of the rear suspension and brakes.

Same thing I had to do with my upper control arm balljoint. One bolt at a time, then pound it out of the arm when it was out of the Jeep.

Wish I had that dana 44 though and yeah I had to find a bunch of washers to get my rear washers to fit right on the top mount...but I had the same issues.

I hope you get good performance out of your shocks. Those are what I initially got when I bought my lift. I was not happy with the loud noises they made or the firm ride. Switched to the Old Man Emu NitroChargers and really enjoy the ride now.

How long did you keep them before swapping? These were definitely firm, but not terrible. I didn't realize how much over budget I would go by the end and kinda regret not just opting for the Bilsteins in the kit.

@@ruffwrenchn2235 200 miles is all. Maybe they will break in, main reason though was due to my lift height. I originally ordered a 3.5" lift but really didn't like the height, so I dropped down to 1.5". The shocks were 2" too long at this point.
