Dude I don't think you got a bad copy of that figure, it may even be the original like you said sometimes happens. My copy of this arrived today (to my dismay...) and it is 100X shitter than this. For example: baby knife does not fit in the sheath, the sheath is a solid piece. The hilts of the katanas do not come out so he will always look stupid if you try to use the swords. The hands and eyes are awful and the ball joints in the wrists are VERY brittle. The guns look TERRIBLE and don't even fit in the "trigger hands" properly. I also had to spend like half an hour trying to make the holsters fit on. The guns themselves are paper thin on my copy too. May as well be 2D! I'm probably gonna make a video on it so people can see just how bad it really is. Safe to say I'll be dispatching it as soon as the real one arrives.

No they aren’t going to release this mold in 20 years I hope not because I hope they actually bothered to make some improvement in 20 years. I get the point but you are just basically criticizing them for improving over the years
To tell you the truth I think attempting to make any profit on action figures is a bad investment maybe Mafex SH figure arts Hot Toys you might be able to not marvel legends they just re release everything even sport cards / Pokémon you have to spend big money to make a investment

They've already gotten at least 5 or 6 releases out of that mold. Looks like they got their money's worth out of the mold by now.
There is nothing particularly wrong with these figures, it’s just the way we’ve made them have gotten better. If I were a kid growing up during that time during which some of the figures you’ve shown were made, I would’ve loved to have some.

I just want to collect figures cuz I love em. I hate how they have a fake value and scalpers make em expensive. I don't want to resell. I want to collect and not at 30 bucks a fig. 15 like they should be
I agree, I buy mafex for three reasons, they look great, they are a good price for what you get, and it’s a good investment because they only go up in value
I do think there is a large market for these, I mean, who wouldn’t want a backdrop or diorama piece to enhance their figures and spice up their collection
I mean, They’re not necessarily bad, sometimes they have some great figures, i definitely think part of the appeal is pricing too, they’re like 25 ish on average and you’re getting decent quality, the renuse of old molds is stupid though
