Funny story, I made a side table for a client that I had to hold onto for a bit. My daughter used it for a nightstand after she got home from college for the summer until my client picked it up. I tell her find a design she likes and I’ll build it, and she sends the thumbnail from this video. I’m like I know who that dude is, I watch all his videos lol. She wanted 1x for the top instead of 2x, but that’s the only design change we made. She’s loving it in her room.
Maybe the most obvious question here, and one I'm sure that's been asked quite a few times already.... I'm pretty sure there are different LENGTHS of 2 x 4's, eh? So ... How long, brother? Yes, I'm that problem child who thinks I may not be able to build that nightstand out of a 6' 2 x 4.
2 fence pickets I put 4 together over the weekend. Posted them on marketplace. I put my twist on them and painted the legs and top trim black. In 10 days, I sold 30 plus 6 custom planters. As a hobby, this was easy money, $1050. Thanks for the awesome video.
I like the project overall. I just think saying making it beginner friendly then immediately onto a tablesaw is 2 massively different things. I see a table saw and immediately move onto the next project
How long should you let the pickets dryout..I let them dry for a couple days but gaps are now showing between the two horizontal pieces, some as large as 1/4 inch..it even separated the glue. I like to glue the two pieces together before putting the sides on..
Just made one for the wife and it turned out awesome. I passed all pickets through the planer multiple times to make it smooth, which made a HUGE difference if you’re going to stain like I did. Tks!
Where are you from? I keep thinking you're saying "lags" for "legs" confused me the first time but I giggled after that. I'm from New England so we sure give you enough to giggle at. 😂
Ive sold over 200 of the planter you taught me to build last year. I get pallet off cuts for .10$ a board. Im into the boxes for like 1.25-1.50$ at most. Its been great. I might dabble with these. Lots of cuts but the profit margins are silly. Thanks alot!
I would love to see you make tapered planners. You make very nice planners and so easy to understand your videos. Let's see you make tapered videos on planters
Great video. The table looks awesome and the finish reflects your kids help. I haven’t seen a lot of your videos but the new Mike seems to be good. Thank you for sharing, have a great adventure and enjoy Fathers Day with your crew.
Ha. That is funny. How's the humidity feeling down there right now? Lol. I can't believe how populated florida has become. Place is a zoo in the winter a 43' fifth wheel is fun in that traffic.
Nobody else makes instructional videos like this guy does. He could care less about hiding certain dimensions or aspects of the build just so you’ll buy the plans. Very straight forward and beginner friendly. Well done my friend
Not crazy at all! My wife and I found a property in Florida last year that we couldn't pass up. Huge barn for a shop and a few acres to homestead, also going the home education route! Keep crushing it!
