Car reviews, car shows, tips, maintenance and funny car videos.
Once upon a time, back in late 2012, two brothers and their Dad were chatting about cars. One of the brothers said “hey, we should make some kind of web thingy where people can watch us doing things with cars and stuff”. The others agreed and Auto Animals was born.
Fast-forward to today, and along with their other brother, Auto Animals has become a one-stop-shop for all things automotive…well, to the extent that if you like to see grown men getting giddy over car stuff then this is for you!
It's important to remember that this car was made in 2006, so for those comparing it with today's car trends is to be unfair. At the time of release it was way beyond it's time with its packed features.
Great video. I'm in Australia and we never received the abarth version of the Punto. I love these cars so much i have converted a TJet sport punto into a rep abarth using the engine for a 595 and the m32 gearbox from a Holden Astra. They are beautiful cars and I wish they got more attention when they launched. They definitely benefit from good tyres and an LSD. Makes the car feel like a different animal.
What do you mean with more costs and more work? I mean , one hour ride 3 hours work? Or is a good Service once a year enough? I am thinking about buy one...but I am not a mechanic. .
Interesting video, been thinking of getting this Holts kit for my wife's c-max. For last years MOT, I cleaned the headlamps up with just some mildly abrasive paste and a few of those green/yellow kitchen sponges and an evening of elbow grease and they came up looking like new - but I didn't put any UV protection on, so fast forward one year to now and they're back to how it was looking before I did them and a sure-fire MOT fail, so this time I'm thinking of getting a kit with UV protection spray this time in the hopes of a longer lasting result
Is that the xj220 that was donated to a museum, later sold to a private collector after the owner was livid it didn’t come with 12 cylinders? Had an amazing amount of paperwork? If so I had the pleasure of working on this before it left Blighty 😊
I honestly have no idea if it was that specific one (this was at the Jaguar Heritage Trust at Gaydon), but bravo sir for working on such a prestigious and historic car! ❤️
@@autoanimals it really was an honour to be fair. I, like a lot of kids had photos of them on my wall. Working on it was the second time I saw it. First time I was installing a phone kit on a three wheeler two seat mini car type thing, can’t remember exactly what it was but they said it did 100mpg ! Reason I don’t really remember what it was I think might have something to do with the xj220 parked in front, to the left of it a Lamborghini gallardo, next to that a Ferrari f40 and in front of that on a 4 poster lift was a pikes peak edition rs 200. I honestly kinda thought it was a sick twisted prank to put all those cars under one roof (love them all). Think the 3 wheeler was a test as they were a new client. Often people are wary of new engineers working on their prides and joy. Rightly so
Enjoyed the video, glad you went around the entire show unlike most the videos I've seen where they only showed the first car park which really unsells how many cars were there. This is the only rustival video I've seen where someone has actually pointed out my car at 39:22 and not just walked past because it's not a classic car so thank you for that 😁 I've got the Gen 2 and my friend has the Gen 3, and we found 2 spots free next to this Gen 1 R53 and thought it made sense although we should have parked the other way around to make it Gen 1, 2, 3 not 1,3,2 🤦😂
No problem at all, thanks for the lovely message! Loved that you guys managed to get all three together like that, such a rare sight. Really do love a 'modern' mini. I had an R55 Clubman Cooper S and would have another in a heartbeat!
Enjoyed your video, thanks for doing the miles to film it. One strange thing though...you suffered loss of audio due to excessive wind? I find that when I have excessive wind I suffer from additional audio, hahaha. To each their own. Cheers!
It would seem that in the UK there's a lawless condition on the insurance market. How crazy. So, I would suggest thae same insurance person to pay 50.000,00 gbp for shopping in his or her local supermarket. As an entrance fee, naturally. And only for that person. That would be fair. Greed is a sin. Their price is a sin.
Very useful video. I need to restore the headlights on my 2006 Volvo V70 and have been wondering which restoration kit to buy. The Holts one seems like a good bet.
Nice vid, I’ve got this kit and am going to give it a try tomorrow. I’ve got some PPF film to put on afterwards which should stop them yellowing again!
I personally have a Grande essesse spec punto. they of course come with 180hp or so, and of course with your remap you'll be pushing that kind of power also. from a couple modifications but no extra map I'm running about 190hp (ish) and get runs of just 7 seconds 0-60. similarly to yourself, I was running cheap tires that came on the car and was getting times of around 8.1 -8.3. changed them to a set of yokohamas and much like yourself it makes a massive difference, proof that good boots on your car make a massive difference. have you considered a comeleon tint btw? just out of curiosity lol :)
