Just like a rear naked choke you need to lock that defensive hand first by straightjacket with body triangle. For Ezekiel you need to use your body weight from you belly to lock that defensive hand then go to set up the choke.

Question: how frowned upon would this be in Judo Newaza? I'm new to the discipline and am really frustrated with these big guys who lose the scramble and then just lay flat on their bellies. This could work as a can opener but I'm concerned that they wouldn't appreciate the pain pressure it takes to get them to turn their head.
