I have the first generation xc70 and mine is solid between front and rear. If front spins the rear also spins. Loving this old awd. It drives like a old Audi basically during winter understeer is a thing but then again the right throttle input and you can keep it going where you need to :)
I was the chief engineer during the 90's. I know this sucker in and out. I can tell you it was better than you think. I mean BETTER. This video only shows the flying stuff, but I wish I could tell you all about the fighting stuff. Its not only about a missile or "top speed", but the detailing in every single design element deep into each system. Well, the Viggen was designed by young engineers and perfected by the same before they died. It was never about the money, but true loyalty, compassion, and fun.
What many don't know is that the Swedish male model and Viggen pilot, General Lars, was in charge of strangling dissidents, beating welfare recipients and having pizzas sent to random addresses during holidays. Known as the Beast of the East with Yeast, he strafed trees and claimed they fired first. As a Viggen pilot he shot down a hot air balloon, a civilian biplane on a pleasure cruise and a cloud that really did look like a monster -- his only air-to-air kill. His reign of terror ended when he seduced the President's wife and was transferred to Baghdad. It is pretty scary, I've seen some pretty wild escapades with these hot air balloons in the summer, I got some photos of a ballon with a handful of people that almost went down in the water just outside the harbor here. :D
We only have 2 SAAB 37 Viggen airworthy this is the AJ 37 Viggen (37098) SE-DXN (ground-attack version) the other one is SK 37 Viggen (37809) SE-DXO (two seated trainer).......the JA 37 Viggen (interceptor) has to complicated avionics to keep airworthy. Really miss the SAAB 37 Viggen with its brutal sound almost always starting car alarms at air shows :)

Hey, I know this sounds a bit dumb, but I really, really want an actual Ja-37 Jaktviggen that's airworthy. What was it that made the avionics overly complicated on the Jaktviggen and not the other versions?
@@nightfall1249 dont know what makes the avionics so complicated but its the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight (SwAFHF ) a non-profit association that maintains and keeps older aircraft types from the Swedish Air Force in an airworthy condition so it comes to economy to just keep the simpler versions airworthy i guess.
@@KarILsson Thanks for the information! I've now sent them a message asking for more details regarding the Jaktviggen. If that fails, I guess I could ask Saab directly or ask an air force museum what the Jaktviggens avionics need in terms of maintenance.
What you would call the Ultimate Large STOL fighter. And it even had a reverse but no reverse BEEP, BEEP, BEEP.. My Second all time Favorite Fighter in the world. A Beautiful Delta wing Killing Bird. Just plan awusome. Love and want one.
Man, All this viggen Landing i saw on RU-vid were pretty hard on the Gear!! I think that's probably because of the reverse thrusting mode that activates hydraulically once the front wheel compress.......
I have heared that the hard landings are an effect of the steep angle thats requiered to get a short landing. Short landing and take off is prio for swedish airforse in case off enemies bombing our airfields. Ca 400 meter is enough for Viggen! The two wheel setup is to save the regular roads from damages.
Lite intressant historia...37:an var urspunlingen tänkt som kärnvapenbärare och provflögs fösta gången 1967 men det blidde inga kärnvapen då Sverige skrev på icke spridningsavtalet 1968.
