This still gives me allllll the feels. When Blair scoots over closer to Chuck and their foreheads touch and they look into each others eyes before they kiss sweetly, and they’re holding hands after they kiss for the first time 🤭 and then things get steamy after Chuck asks “are you sure?” and Blair passionately kissed him
Anyone that knows the story knows that GH only ever intended for Jenny to be temporary. They wanted Laura once Tamara decided to leave but Laura was still under contract by Guiding Light. Enter Jenny Bransford who bears a striking resemblance to Laura Wright and Tamara Braun but was replacing Tamara so of course as expected she didn’t work out and wam 2 weeks later enter Laura Wright. Let’s not forget that fans did not like Laura as Carly for years. Tamara was offered numerous offers to return in 2009(She had just won Best Supporting Actress for Ava on DOOL) as Carly but declined. Enter 2014 when the show tried to make it known that Laura was Carly instead it only revived the rift between the 2 versions of Carly. Fans were religiously writing to GH for them to hire Tamara back as Carly but Tamara had no interest in a long term GH return that didn’t include new material. Enter 2017 when they handpicked Tamara to play Kim Oscars mom, but made a very bad move to not have Kim and Sonny interact much on screen. The 2005 Carly recasting mess between Tam/Jenny/Laura still makes it very weird to accept Laura as Carly but instead gets a “she’ll do for now” . I love Laura as Carly but for me she is the Amelia Heinle of GH. It works but it’s not the best.
Why would they ‘settle’ for LW? She’s been hitting it out of the park since day 1. Sure she doesn’t have the same kind of chemistry that Tams had with Maurice or that Sarah had with Maurice & Steve but there has always been something there. It isn’t exactly romantic or sexy but there’s a chemistry. And of course she was great with Ingo and pairing Carly with Jax opened up a whole bunch of possibilities and storylines that created drama for Sonny/Carly/Jax. Laura made Carly her own and while Tamara was great, she clearly wasn’t in it for the long haul.
Talk about insecure. This is the same girl that got naked to sleep with Lucas, a guy she barely even knew just because he was on the basketball team. Brooke didn't even develop as a character until halfway through the first season, and that was from the perspective of us just jumping into the show, what about way before she and Lucas and Peyton became a thing? We all know she had a wild side, hoe phase or whatever you an to call it, but to get this mad at Julian over portraying her as someone she clearly used to be is ridiculous. She's didn't peak in high school, but she definitely wasn't a saint either. Own your shit, Brooke! Then again her father was barely in her life and her mother was monster so what do you expect coming that that type of dysfunction household.
@@AutumnExplorer the fact that Brooke isn’t mad about how Julian is portraying her. She was only mad at the portrayal when she thought LUCAS, the person who was there for all of her development and growing up and saw most of who she was vs who she was thought of first hand, was the one who wrote the scene. When she realized Julian wrote it, she didn’t even confront him about the script. she was mad and confronted him about doing all kinds cheesy high school things because she thought it was him thinking she was still that same person and was trying to live out a fantasy for the easy high school Brooke. She did the same thing when it came to Owen previously when he got in the back of her car naked. Julian is meant to be a fresh start instead she’s concerned that he’s only trying to be with her because her characterization in the novel leads him to believe she’s easy even though that’s not who she is anymore.
@@mkwhite5054 When she calmed down and Julian explained himself, everything made sense to her. The sad truth is she got hyper-insecure and pissed off over nothing. Julian did cheesy things and then wrote the character bio, she confronted him and talked about how she's not high school Brooke anymore and there's a lot more to her than just sex. Instead of being angry with him, she should teach her children to not repeat the same mistakes she made. Don't devalue yourself by acting all slutty and bombastic, then get pissed off ten years later when someone writes a book depicting your behavior. Sadly, this will never happen in the show or real life because teenager all suffer from the same chronic illness and it's called stupidity.
This show always had the best combination of the scene and the story that meshed so well with the music, that meshed so well with Lucas narrating an author's quote.
Oh my God, I can watch this scene a billion times without getting bored, and after watching it, I ask myself how the series ends without it being together. The ending was frustrating and ridiculous. Google Translate 🇪🇬😂
