I am a watch enthusiast and I love watches. I believe you don't have to spend thousands of dollars on a watch to get a quality piece that you are proud of.
This channel is for: - The first time watch buyer or anyone who already owns a few watches - Anyone who appreciates the design and history of watches - Anyone on a realistic, everyday budget - Anyone who wants to learn about new watches - The watch aficionado who doesn't take things too seriously
Scratches and stuff don't really bother me. I have an 18 - year old Cit. Calibre 8700 that I wear daily (in a rare smaller size for Citizen at 38mm). Trust me, you can tell I've worn it through everything I do (from working on the PC, automative repairs, working on production lines etc) - it's seen a hard life. Yet it barely looses much time per year, Though it does seem once per year when the DST changes I check the hand alignment and find on occasion it needs to be adjusted. I literally put it on and just go. Anyways, I am sending it out for it's very first service (yep, 1st service at 18 - it does need a new crystal (going to upgrade to a saphire), gaskets and a lubing to ensure it stays ticking the way it is). I really feel Citizen is highly underrated, though I agree they really need to use sapphire crystals more often on their watches. I was thinking it's time I add another Citizen to my watch collection, and wanted a less complicated one (the perpetual calander being too over the top and not really being useful). Anyways, thanks for sharing your experiences with this one. :-)

I really like the Invictas watches from the ProDiver automatic line. I have one that I bought in Miami with a Myota machine and it is twenty years old. It never stopped working. I like this channel. Success!
I set both features for my own time zone. One for military the other regular time. Then when I travel use it accordingly. But, as many say…I really don’t need a GMT. I just like the inner workings of the movement.
it has a nice design and somewhat affordable for a swiss watch brand but what turns me off about this watch is the F06.115 movement which is not serviceable but replaceable, the movement itself cost roughly about $150. while the automatic version it has some "plastic" parts in it. idk is it still worth it though? i like the design but i want a watch that last a longtime
Waiting for mine to turn up. A super sea wolf to fit my skinny wrist! Its rocking the egg colours 😁 Update: it's turned up & only took a week off AliExpress to the UK. the RU-vid reviews of this watch are accurate! It's about 4 seconds a day fast according to the timegragher phone app so all good. I've got Seiko mod watches, a regular Seiko, a Tissot, Bulova etc & the value for money & specs / finishing you get from Chinese watch brands is really impressive
Данный mesh-bracelet выглядит красиво, но по факту это является не удобной вещью на самом деле, я правильно вас понял? То есть не стоит его покупать, в итоге им не будешь пользоваться из-за не практичности? Заранее благодарю за ответную реакцию)
Of all my watches, this is always the first one I grab when going on a trip, or just running about. YOU are right, the crystal is the weakest point on this watch. My work watch is a Casio F-91 W, in case I run into any artificial Christmas trees ! I really do not know why, but this Citizen is my favorite watch.
All time fave. started a collection a few years back. found the elusive Costco blue dial today 04 July 2024 on eBay. Already have the Standard x2, Havana, Blue Angels and Black Ion, looking for the titanium and the white chapter rings. sigh! watches and mo watches...
Old Timex was great, but now is is so bad, sorry to say if you compare with Casio or Seiko, Timex fall far behind in terms of quality, durability and longevity at present.
Great video, and thank you for the Amazon UK tip!, I have been contemplating buying this watch for a while and just now pulled the trigger thanks to you, and saved $80 minimum in the process 🎉🎉
Some pristine looking Yashica’s there. One of the best P&S cameras ever made. Fantastic lens and, to this day, one of the greatest light meter’s ever put in a camera
I just bought one of these new and it contains a newer 8215 movement which does have hacking. So if you are looking to purchase one in the wild you may want to check for this.
Wow…beautiful watch. I currently only own 1 Bulova, a nice dress watch (three hand dress watch w/date) that I picked up on sale. I would love to find a nice deal on a vintage Acutron. Thanks for the good vids…
Great vid…you had me laughing at times. Great point about this watch being affordable by the every day man. Looking foreword to getting a copy of this watch soon…
Totally fails….fashion watch 24 hr. dial……….just worthless. Give me quality quartz with a 12 hr. dial & a 30 minute totalizer, NOT 60 minutes which is very hard to read even in light turbulence. Good review, Thanks
Why do people expect anything other than the substandard fayre Seiko have pumped out for the last 10 years? Especially where their woeful bracelets are concerned. It's because of this BS 'heritage' which is somehow supposed to be important. According to their pricing Seiko unbelievably believe they should be placed on the same level as Hamilton, Tissot or Christopher Ward... Seriously? They are absolutely nowhere near those stella brands. Seiko should be pricing themselves against AliExpress brands because that's where their quality and materials used places them.
Uncle straps make a replacement clasp piece for this watch that gives an extra micro adjustment hole, does the job although it's a bit more rattle-y than the Seiko one
Not that I am much of a chronograph person. The overall pricing and QC issues at Seiko have killed the brand for me. Still, this seems like a nice effort. Shame about the bracelet though.
I could live with the bracelet and micro adjustments, but I can not stand the 24 hour dial on the right. It is so useless. And it is not this particular watch problem only. 😢
I am about to click and buy it so thanks for this very informative video. I set my mind on buying quality Japanese watch for under 100 euros. After few days of search I started to think this one might be a best deal. In that line of reasoning may I ask your opinion of Vagary watches?
Hello. Thanks for watching I’m not sure this watch is still for sale in the US. I haven’t seen it listed for a while. I have not heard of Vagary watches before so i can not offer any opinions them. Sorry.
Thank you! Saved my hide on this one. I don't like any red on my watches and as soon as you mentioned that sunday was red, that was my decision made. Thanks again!
