This song reminds me of 5th grade. I had a teacher who was the quintessential “nerd” but he introduced our class to this song. I’d never heard it before or even since then, but I will never forget this song.

Their girl friends brought them food and drinks, and the place became both a party place and a wine hole fore the winos. A place called "Twin Poles," a place in Topanga Canyon where partiers jumped off a rock ten or more feet above a pool, and land in the water. Another song from this album I heard down at the Poles was, "Coming Into Los Angeles," by Arlo Guthrie.
