I don't like that the seating surface of this sofa slopes towards the back. It is not level. When you lay on it your body is crooked and sinks towards the back side. That's very annoying. I bought it and assembled it a few days ago and I am going to have to do something to fix that problem.
I’ve had this for 4yr and while comfortable- the chaise definitely did not hold up at all. It sinks and looks like a mess every time anyone sits on it. Im just wanting to get rid of it as soon as I find the best thing to replace it. Everyone says it’s firm - but mine sags a lot! I would not recommend. Edit to add: I went back and forth with West Elm on this for months in 2020 - obviously with the pandemic things were slow. But mine started sagging a month after I got it. They sent me thicker cushions - but then the covers didn’t fit. They sent me new covers twice - but they were still not fitting! Finally they sent me a whole new sectional no joke - and within a month that one started sagging too. I’m an average sized person and most of my friends are too. And it’s not like I exclusively use that one seat - but when anyone sits in the corner part of the chaise they sink so badly. It looks comical! Anyways - just figured I’d let you all know that I used to love West Elm but after this experience it was so frustrated with them.

I bought a large white trunk to store my infant niece’s stuff in ru-vid.comUgkxNuLbiXpLQ-mKH5NlyjrNe88hiCk2N3Cg , as she comes to my house frequently. For now, it’s toys on one side and diapers, wipes, and other baby care items on the other. As she gets older, it will be all toys. I had originally wanted a trunk with a hinged lid, but I was afraid of her smashing or pinching her fingers in it. This will be a much safer option. The lid has great padding in it and it is actually nice to sit on. It feels very sturdy and secure. Looks like it can be wiped clean easily. If it gets abused by her, I won’t be terribly upset because I paid less than $50 for it on Prime Day.

Just bought a Stocksund sofa second hand. Its way too soft in the Middle (strings probably worn out underneath). Which IKEA sofa do u recommemd for a single household of 30 square meters ? I want to play playstation, watch netflix and chill with girls occasionally
thanks for making this review! i'm looking into getting this couch for my partner and i's apartment, but had a hard time finding a video showing what it looks like irl. i think it's a pretty impressive piece of furniture, but am curious about how long it will still look nice. and as of september 2022, this couch can cost up to $899, lol.
Don’t buy this couch! Purchased one in November ‘21 and it was sagging and bulging after 6 months. West Elm tried to claim I purchased it too far out of warranty (which is one year) and I have called them every week for 2 months given they don’t want to give a refund after picking up the faulty product. It’s not worth the discount. Just go with a better couch and better company.
I purchased this couch Oct 2021 mostly because it was one of the only couches that was actually in stock and shipping during the pandemic supply chain issues. I HATE IT. Good : looks stylish, in stock, shipped fast Bad: scratchy fabric, pills immediately looks cheap, all the cushions move around (back and bottom), back cushions are so low/ no support, not deep enough. Just like said in the video, this is not a main sofa. It would be better in an office for sure, I wouldn’t even offer it to a guest to sleep on.
I love firm but this sofa is too firm. I had to replace this sofa three times. The ottoman sunk in the middle. The bench seat squeaked and I had to get it repaired twice!
I have this couch in the sectional, I regret the purchase. It’s narrow, I barely fit laying down - 5’7 180lbs. The fabric is pilling (badly) after 3 months, the cushions never stay in place, they have to be pushed back every hour and the back cushions have become flat (again after 3 only months). I had a couch from Bobs Discount Furniture that was better - this is an IKEA base level couch at west elm prices.
Yeah this looks cheap as hell. I have had this sectional on my wish list since 2020, but have never seen it outside of their website until now. Wow. But I did read bad reviews about west elm furniture online
I have this sofa too and regret buying it. It is not comfortable. The back cushions go soft and flimsy very quick and it’s separating at the base from the joints and I have only had it for a year.
I love your channel please do more affordable sofas. What would you recommend that, is affordable, comfortable not too soft that doesn’t sag. for family room with a higher back for neck support. I’m considering Bassett sofia but they are expensive.
Are there legs under the sides of the sofa? It looks like the regular front and back ones are too far into the center. Looks like the sofa could easily tip if someone sat on the arm rest with no one on the sofa
