The hate for this peice is insane…the ending is not abrupt, it foreshadows from the beginning of the speech, it just takes a little bit of complex thought to realize this. Also, it really is beautiful, not everybody shows their sadness through tears, silence, or sadness, this was extremely relatable to see as a black man
Omg. I was in that audience. And had my first round of the entire tournament with this guy. He was crazy insane -- kept track of everyone and who they went against and when. BUT also the nicest and funniest person I've ever seen. So memorable that I came into RU-vid just to see if I could find a video of this. What a great memory.

This is fabulous!!! I used to compete in Speech and Debate in high school, and delivering an original monologue is no easy feat!!! Josh did a magnificent job!!!!
