In the UK there is a very similar murder rate to USA when not involving guns. Knife murder very similar, hitting kicking murders very similar, gun murders USA 20,000, UK 29. I love that we don't have guns here in Europe, I also love that the US does have them. It's part of the American way of life. As an Eastern European II wouldn't want one, and I wouldn't want my neighbor who hates me to be able to easily get one. People in organized crime can always get guns, but small-time felons can't, which is why we have almost 0 shootings here. Then again, the police are minutes away, we don't have a vast border to protect, and social tensions have been low for the past couple of decades.
