Wow- a whole lot of other ethnicities with some French and perhaps W Slav! Fascinating what blending diverse groups over long periods of time draws out or turns recessive.
I’m half Serbian and half British. I got 48.5% Balkan 42.5% British and Irish 4.4% French and German 3.0% Spanish and Portuguese (wasn’t expecting this 3% at all!)
People tend to be so easily misled by the skin tone, hair tone, etc. Put him blue eyes and blond heair, it would look veyr natural to him .His facial structure is not really Mediterranean; I see his Dutch facial structure with Mediterranean colors, which makes him very handsome. You can date my daughter after have a date with me!
Ethnicity Results are really merely Ethnicity Guesstimates. There are many variables that go into this guesswork; so, such is mainly an "entertainment." Now, as far as truth is concerned: a basic DNA test absolutely shows relationships between folk - & whether or not that relationship is a close one or a fairly-distant one (going back approximately 300-to-500yrs); &, a chromosomal DNA test (that is, a Y-DNA test or an M-DNA test) can show very distant relationships (going back over 100,000yrs); however, there's still educated guesswork involved in figuring out any details of a discovered relationship - & the accuracy of the guesswork often depends upon finding records & using what's learned from archeological discoveries (both of which can involve more guesswork). As DNA companies gain more DNA samples & knowledge, their ethnicity guesstimations change [& note that each company uses their own proprietary algorythm(s) <sp?> which are all likely to change over time]. Results vary.
ive seen that these people based their result on where you are mostly,so i suggest,if you want an intensive search online..download your raw data to some company online and let them see from there,as they do not know where you are.. i m from brazil in asia and,,in 2018 i underwent 3 tests, through 123 and me,my heritage and family tree dna.,however based where i was in asia, they figured that i was asian..so they gave me some " asian mark".but as i was not convinced i decided to do tests online giving my raw data and came with a more intensive and different marks
My DNA results are: 54% English and Northwestern European, 16% Scottish, 14%Irish,5% Basque, 4% Welsh,4% West African(2% Benin and Togo, 1% Senegal, 1% Mali)2% Spanish, 1% Germanic Europe with Ashkenazi Jewish heritage. I researched documentation and found family that are Walloons in France, and also Dutch, Scandinavian, Swedish and French Canadian
My DNA test said I'm 98 %. Ashkenazi Jewish , 1 % Baltic and 1 %. Anatolian/ Caucasus . Anatolia is Asian Turkey and. Caucasus does not mean a white person but the indigenous people of the Caucasus , such as the Circassians and Chechens etc . My grandparents were. Ukrainian Jews .
My family came from Hoorn in West Friesland, lived in South Africa since 1658. In my family there is the surname Swart, Streicher, Rossouw, Burger, Malan and so forth. All these surnames came before 1700. I did my DNA and its 100% European. (69% Central European so from Netherlands, Germany and France, 18% Scotland, 9% Scandinavian. Also 5% Southern European (Italy). It looks like i am more European than Europeans!!!! 🙂
pineapple on your pizza: It is derived from the "Toast Hawaii" which - as far as I know - was created by some famous german cook in the sixties. It is loved in Germany, due to similar culture it might have been known in the Netherlands, too. Some Italians (I guess expatriates to Germany) had no problems to adapt the Toast Hawaii to Pizza Hawaii. Turks, who dare to copy pizza (most of them are not good in it), having Lahmacun in their mind, did not copy Pizza Hawaii for the pork - ham. But instead they created the Pizza Bolognese, sometimes even with Spaghetti on the pizza which no Italian would do. Americans don't know toast Hawaii, so pizza Hawaii sounds strange to them. I love toast Hawaii, so I love pizza Hawaii. It's just as easy as that. But Bolognese or Spaghetti on a pizza is a no go. And no italian will ever offer that. And italians "own" pizza as well as they "own" the spaghetti. If there is a pizza service offering that, you know it is owned by a turkish person.
the Netherlands are quite a new country. And by original tribes they are frisian, which makes the mix with Germany. Because Frisians live in North Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Btw, Germany never was a tribe but a multitude of tribes. Ok, and how does Spain come in here? For some time, the Netherlands were ruled by Spain. It's quite a long time ago, never mind. But as they were ruled by Spain, spanish people had to be there for administration. And of course their kids would marry people in the place, i.e. dutch people. So what you can see in your ancestry is just the history of the Netherlands 🙂 British, Irish, Viking: These are trading partners of the Netherlands. Never forget that the Netherlands always had a lot of harbours. So a certain mixture is normal. Btw. same with Casablanca. Of course, in a town with a famous harbour there will be a lot of foreign influence. Especially as Morocco is muslim: It was easy to have a wife in a place you often see, and divorce her after the trade stopped. E.g. after a year or so. Which explains why you have such a high percentage throughout whole Africa. But at the same time, the trade in Casablanca was between Africa and Europe, which explains why you are more than 50% European. If if the Europeans were not so fast with marriage, there might have been european traders living in Casablanca with their families. And yes, colonialism as well brought European families to Morocco.
Pineapple definetly belongs on á Pizza, yumm. As for the rest of the video, it is all good. It is always interesting to find out about genealogy and how connected we are. Greetings from Iceland.
Hi Chakir, nice to see your results :-) I am not surprised by your lower than average number Neanderthal variants. Those variants ended up in humans that had moved out of Africa. So people in Africa usually have very low Neanderthal variants, in northern Africa some mixing happened with Arabs and southern Europeans that added small amounts Neanderthal DNA. Most of your variants are probably from your fathers side. And of course most 23andme customers are from outside of Africa. Btw I completely agree "it doesn't matter where you are from, just be proud of it".
No, many Brazilians have more sub-Saharan African and indigenous blood, and even today I don't know almost anyone who looks like him, (maybe the skin tone but not the facial features) the traits of the vast majority of Brazilians go more to the negroid really .
@@munax-pd9tu Let's say that Brazilians who look more "white" are about 25% to 35% of the population, the rest fit the stereotype of "Latino" "mestizo" "biracial" etc... Places where you can find more "white" people (who may look less non-Latino or non-miscegenated) in Brazil would be the south like Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, (mainly smaller towns and villages) the rest would be more what they call "Latino" and variables of non-white and less-white people.
