Yup Amanda! It’s been a crazy few years and about to get crazier. I’ve been putting everyone’s pantry vids to a playlist. I still have to film mine. Girl you got it going on like we do! 🎉💚

Nicely done. Personally loving canned peas/beans I never fill them to one inch head space before adding the liquid because I like more juice/liquid still in the jars after they have cooled and absorbed/expanded fully. I hope when you said you let the jars sit overnight in the canner you make it clear to many to have the lid removed..otherwise it may take a crowbar to get it off..as the instruction book implies.

Ditto on all the positive comments! Its cool to see how many trees you have and I am celebrating with you on all the fruit trees that are finally producing! (I just planted 10 trees this spring and hopefully will plant more next spring so I have a ways to go before I get fruit, but my berries are doing pretty well) Thanks again for your garden tours!

Thanks for the inspiration. Ive deliberately not watered my lawn this year so i can do this to my front yard. Still planning it out. I sympathize with you on bindweed. Its the worst weed ever. And its very hard overcome. Seeds can live up to forty years. Ive even tried digging it up but as you are aware....it can grow back with just an inch of root left in the ground. Its really a shame that food plants are not as resilient and persistent. Imagine the amount of food we would have if veggies grew like weeds. :)

So true!

Bindweed is edible (cooked) - it is a "cousin" of sweet potatoes. There are several videos on YT about how to prepare it.

I am working towards this and I am continually uping my own garden and food forest to work towards this. Unfortunatly local produce at the farmers market was triple the price of the grocery store. I'm not quite ready to take the plunge. But I love getting ideas from other people and it gives me motivation to keep working towards this!
@strawberrymoonhomestead3692
That is so frustrating! I have found that sometimes local food is more expensive than imported food from Central America or Africa. So heartbreaking.

I am excited to hear more! In my town we have a lot of agriculture around us and have to spray (or bag) many fruits by law, such as cherries, apples, pears and a few others. So we have chosen to not do cherries and to keep our apple and pear trees small so we can bag either the tree or the individual fruit.
@strawberrymoonhomestead3692
Wow I have never heard of having to bag or spray your fruit trees! That is so unfortunate.

Love your yard! It's awesome! I am so sorry you had to get rid of your chickens! That's crazy! I am allowed 4 animals older then a year in my city (including pets). My yard currently looks like a lot of leafy sticks (we just planted a lot of bare roots trees and bushes this spring.) Hopefully my yard will look bounteous like yours in the future.
@strawberrymoonhomestead3692
Thank you! So wonderful, good for you! 5 years from now your yard will look amazing!

I was hoping the same and tried it myself. It worked for awhile but found there was oil build up unfortunately. I am going to play woth some recipes and hopefully find one that works.
