Enjoying the video this morning. The most important frugal tip you illustrate is that one must really know how to cook the old fashioned way to save money. I am reminded of a time in my life when I had nursing students at a clinic in agency that had a food pantry. So many of the food pantry clients did not know how to cook the basics like rice, dried beans, etc.
Yes! I donate regularly and I am told to donate things like KD and pre-made food because no one knows how to cook from scratch. They won't take the food because they don't know what to do with it! Cooking from scratch is essential!
Growing sprouts is such a blessing during the winter months. Easy peasy and offers valuable nutrients. We are doing more sprouting than usual as Romaine and kale are almost $9 here. Great tips!
Thank you for sharing your meals. I am here in Atlanta, Georgia and while we are also dealing with rising prices and a few shortages, I was surprised by some of your prices. That chicken was super expensive as was your cheese and carrots compared to us. It's crazy how the bananas were so cheap after traveling so far but the locally grown carrots were so expensive! Have a lovely week
Ya the prices are wild right now. This was a good sale for the banana, normally they are $1/lb. I know things are typically a bit more expensive up here also.
Thanks ! I am from a small town in Ontario. I would have to drive an hour to get to a Walmart that carried those. Not sure if the price would be the same. I know they used to sell them for $10 but that was a few years back.
10:01 “clearance peppers”. Ma’am, you don’t have to rub it in, I’m sure the poor pepper already knows he’s not a premium regular priced pepper 😂. No need to give them a complex. 🫑 😆
