For Universal Music to postpone the Pete Townshend box until October(when the sets had already been manufactured) shows that Universal Music's "Marketing Geniuses" aren't. They forfeit the right to complain when the set appears on free download sites...as it inevitably will.
What a load of rubbish! Records, good. Book, good. The rest is just useless junk. Once upon a time collectors used to collect records that were genuine releases; now they are putting together collections just to give collectors something to collect.
I purchased the original Mono Box Set from Japan with the OBI. What a box set. I was very fortunate get that set. Unfortunately, when the vinyl Mono set was released, I missed out on the set. Maybe one day they will re-release that set.
elemental mix raw mix evolution mix studio mix lennon mix yoko ono mix sean lennon mix paul mccartney mix new mix old mix older mix pre-beatle mix ringo starr mix james mccartney home-made mix all of the above mixed into "mega mix" how many mixes of the same album can we have?
If you take the time to delve into the musical content on the 6-cd set, like myself you will likely find it revelatory. I was skeptical going in, but after listening to six variants of an album that I owned but virtually ignored all these years, it has become a new favorite! So kudos to Sean for shining a light on the innovation buried in these tracks, Mission accomplished. As far as the Uber Deluxe Over the Top Cube version, well it’s a curio for the well-to-do and obsessed which you can take or leave. All the music is available on the smaller set. So please do listen.
@@FUSEGROUP there was absolutely zero interest from Apple Records CEO if I remember well. Releasing the same album in 17 different coloured vinyl variations is more profitable. Blu-ray audio (and video) has been boycotted since day 1 by mainstream media.
At best, I'd muse this once and put it away or use it as a very expensive footrest. As a protest to this absurdity I'll just listen to the remaster on RU-vid. That's all I need anyway. You made a nice presentation all the same. Thank you.
Hello Paul how are you going to store it especially the vinyl laying flat I do not like do you think there might be over the course of time the records might get warped or do you think the entire unit will prevent that
More stand-alone Blu-Ray 5.1 / Atmos selections hopefully. Most of that boxed set material, you could fit several CD's worth of material on one Blu-Ray.
Excellent video format. I am particularly looking forward to The Police box set and those Sting demos. I notice the FGTH Bang poster and really hope you will be involved in a Dolby Atmos and 40th anniversary box set of Welcome To The Pleasuredome.
When Mind Games came out back in 73?, I believe it wasn't that popular and to see how it's being louded as the end all to be all is kind of a mind game in itself.
I think this format works well for me. The two I'm most interested in as box sets are the last two, although the price of that Police set might be a bit too much for my budget. And I might also look into a digital-download version of "One Hand Clapping".
