The version of "Demolition Man" featuring Pizza Hut instead of Taco Bell exists due to regional marketing differences. In the original 1993 release of the movie, Taco Bell was featured as the only surviving restaurant chain following the "Franchise Wars." This was a result of a product placement deal with Taco Bell in the United States. However, when the film was released internationally, many regions did not have Taco Bell, making the reference less relevant or recognizable to those audiences. To address this, the scenes featuring Taco Bell were altered to feature Pizza Hut, a brand more widely recognized internationally. This included changes to signage, logos, and even some dialogue. Both Taco Bell and Pizza Hut are owned by the same parent company, Yum! Brands, which made the change feasible.
EDIT; I am wrong about the equipement drops droping in a set order. In the SOTFS edition on the 30th kill I got the gauntlets as the last amour piece. I think you get the amour pieces in a set order mine was head, body, legs, arms. I dont know if the order is different in the base Dark Souls 2 game. Also, you can just hit the bonfire and press the cancel button to get back up right away, no need to wait or move. The memory spike will ocur the moment you sit at the bonfire. Dont use homeward bone or angel feather like other guide say as it is quicker to just fall down the hole to the bonfire.
What am i doing wrong? i've killed and de-spawned every enemy in the area, i look at my memory for Dark Souls 2 but everytime i randomly go to see if he is there because i sit there for 5 minutes with no changes in memory and he's there?
It still works. For me the storage peaks are even higher probably because I am playing in 4k Everytime he spawns +50mb Took me legit only 35 minutes to complete this -18.03.2024
Well I was very late to this party, mainly because I own this movie on DVD and VHS and both of mine only have Taco Bell, as it was intended. It was only tonight when I decided to buy a digital copy for my son to watch on Amazon Prime that I saw the "Pizza Hut" version, and it literally blew my mind! John Spartan's voice (Stallone) was clearly dubbed by someone else just to say "Pizza Hut", yet Huxley's voice sounded like it was still Sandra Bullock. I don't understand why they would waste their time dubbing and making terrible edits when they could've just shot the scene with Pizza Hut signage and props instead? And I'm in Australia by the way, and even I knew all about Taco Bell back in 1993, so this just seems like a stupid way to ruin a perfectly good movie.
For anyone who wants to know the reason for the changes of Taco Bell to Pizza Hut is because the executives were worried international audiences wouldnt be familiar with Taco Bell. But you can still find Taco Bell listed in the movie credits.
They say that but in UK at the time, we didnt have Taco Bell yet it was still that. Where I first heard of Taco Bell. European version is Pizza Hut... so why is UK still Taco Bell??
@@JStarke2490this is a weird one and seems to go on a country to country basis. I’m in Belgium and we got the Taco Bell version too (saw it in the cinema), I know they had that version in Holland as well. The Japanese version of the movie however, has the Pizza Hut scene despite it being called the European cut 😅
I remember I was 13 years old to watch this movie till now I never expected that pizza hut the true original taco bell was first released. I have watched this most of the time. I would say 20-25 times watch it in great classic movies.
