I don't think your commentary matches the images which are at an unfortunate angle - in particular the circles do not match the actual plug being inserted to. For the daisy chain the Master goes from 4th port from the left (looking at back) which is NOT the 90w port usb-c port, it is the Displayport plug (out). and on the slave it goes into the 2nd port from the left, also a Displayport plug (in). The source from laptop goes into the 3rd port from the left usb c 90W port. This is important information so people buy the right cables. They will need a Usb-c cable for the connection to source and a displayport cable ~1M to daisy chain.
Hello Jay, hello community. I have a question about the monitor daisychain with Windows. Is it true that I does only support 8-bit colour depth if using the 120Hz and not 10-bit?
Thanks for the great video. Does the kvm feature wake the monitor when connected laptop is sleeps (using the connected keyboard I mean)? A lot of kvm monitors lack this basic feature. Was curious if it's the case with this one or not.
Does the whole in the back have an extra fan ? Because i have this laptop and I feel air moving also from the back whole not only from the side one ???
Hello, great video, My only question is why wont my laptop charge off of the 90 watt USB-C? I sill have to plug in a power source into my laptop or it will eventually die, run out of battery. Oh and my laptop is Dell Precision 5680.
Hello - the multi monitor display works when I have USB-c's directly from each monitor into my laptop, however when I connect the DP cable between the monitors and remove USB-c from slave to laptop I loose the screen on the slave monitor. Any suggestions?
I have three of these monitors and I love them, but the hub shakes pitch is nonsense at best, especially with an as book pro trying a daisy chain. It is not supported
Hey Sachin, Would you like to share your feedback? How is the screen quality? How is IPS glow or bleeding? Any cons you noticed? I am interested in this.. mainly for video editing. Also, did you need GSTIN when purchasing through dell website? Thanks!
Hi thanks for you video. I am slightly confused. I have just purchased two Dell U2723QE, brilliant monitors by the way, I now have 1st monitor connected by DP port. I then removed the orange dust cover and plugged in another DP cable and connected the other end to my DP port on 2nd monitor. Everything working fine at this point. So why do I need to use a USB-Cable from my first monitor back to my PC?
Can you tell more about the IPS Glow/Bleeding. I have buy G3223G and it has huge ips glow and it feels a bit blurry. Additional the right side of the screen is more reddish compare to left side, bad QC obvious. At work I have two S2721DS and there are not bad. I thing to ask for a replacement and go with the U2724D. I do graphic and web webdesign and play COD in my free time.
Can you help me. I'm looking for a monitor to process images and also play games. I was looking at the Dell U2724D model, the response time is 8 ms (normal), 5 ms (fast), and 120 Hz. Would it be able to handle games?????
I currently have the monitor and yes it does charge it. Also it has an option when the monitor is off to continue to charge peripherals that are connected.
@@granttaylor8179it does work I have a 2021 M1 Pro and a u2722de monitor with a asus monitor daisy chained with thunderbolt 3 usb c cable. Works flawless
Huge thanks for your fantastic review, I'm totally sold and planning to grab either the D or DE, but there are few things holding me back . For DE Version: 1. Can you turn off charging over the Thunderbolt cable, or is it always on? 2. My laptop's a Lenovo P15 with a 150W charger. Will it charge slower through the monitor's 90W Thunderbolt, or just not at all? Now, for the D version: If I use HDMI or DP for video, can I connect a mouse, keyboard, and headphones to the monitor's USB ports, then use one USB cable to connect them all to my laptop? (Asking because my current monitor has this cool setup). For context, my current ThinkVision has 4 USB ports and an audio jack. I've got keyboard, mouse, speakers, and phone charging/data plugged in, with one HDMI and one USB cable going to my laptop. When my wife uses it, she just swaps in her DP cable and uses the same USB cable. Really appreciate your time and help! Your answers will make all the difference in my decision.
IS their further guidance you can offer with set up. I have a new MB Pro but it seems a driver is required and one does not exist for this model with MacOS.
Can you daisy chain with other monitors that are not dell? Because I want to do a 2x dell U2724DE monitor setup + an ROG 32 inch OLED 4k 240hz monitor. Do I have to connect the Asus one straight into my laptop or can I use it for daisy chaining? AKA plug it into the master display and I can just run a single Thunderbolt 4 Cable into my laptop?
@@AD-hs4cw I did not get monitor setup sadly, I invested in a stock bot to generate passive income instead. Try with chat gpt maybe, should maybe get you results.
Hi I solved the problem, it is so easy but no one can explain it easy. You need active adapter or cable and it works. On the back also you connect to sealed port (the ones that comes with red plastic) and works perfectly.
Thunderbolt keeps fscking up for me on my Dell TB3 laptop. I just want something that works. I'm going for Dell UD22, because it has the USB-C + DP1.4 alt-mode which is exactly what my monitor needs as my monitor has a KVM switch, so has to be that connectivity.
I have a dell precision T5820 tower workstation xeon processor and nvidia quadro p620 2gb 128 bit gpu and 8gb ddr4 2933mhz ram pc i have can i use this monitor
This just really depends on what your use case. Are you trying to be more productive and watch videos? Go with the 4K 60hz panel of the QE. Are you trying to game at high refresh rates? Go with the DE.
