I have FA. I'm twelve. Luckily for me, it's not super bad, but according to my doctors if I start having knee pain I have to get the surgery. Hopefully I can keep running and keep working on improving my gait. It would really suck for me to have a surgery since running is what keeps me sane (especially during the school year). My hope is to run D1, so I always have to think about not dislocating or messing with my knee.
i’m late but I have spinal fusion in a week and 1 day! I trust all of your doctors because they’re so kind :D i’ll update after the surgery (ofc not right after, but when I go home!) edit: they did a blood transfusion 😔

I didn’t have surgery at Shriners but I had surgery on my left hip on March 4th 2022 I had it because my hip was facing the wrong way (Femoral hip retroversion) recovery is a long time but I’m pushing through it as much as I can
One thing is for certain they are not providing high sources of nutrition as a form of rehabilitation. Organic, non-genetically modified, earth friendly foods would be awesome extremely beneficial physically, mentally and financially possibly spiritually. Even easier, better would be to get these high sources of nutrition in the way of supplements. Initially I became interested in high sources of nutrition as a way to improve upon the way special forces, MMA fighters, extreme athletes, and first responders conditioner bodies to perform at their best. Not because I was trying to be a nice person. Because I needed to do something so they would be somewhat of a challenge if we ever competed. And what I found was with the right sources of nutrition one's abilities greatly increase. Once I came to that conclusion I realize there is more work to be done. So I started looking into how to make progress with the world's most severe cases such as birth defects open or closed head injuries neck and spinal cord damage verbal, physical, and mental abuse aggression drug alcohol dependency so forth and so on etc. etc. and all the side effects challenges that come from those extreme cases. And what I had found was that high sources of nutrition clean air water and various everyday products made to the highest standards of quality would make progress constant consistent at the same time being gradual. Which is key to maximize on recovery. In layman's terms these hospitals rehabs could easily afford air filtration systems equal or better than the ones they have in some casinos in Las Vegas water filtration systems installed that would give them good clean drinking water but at the same time improving showers taking baths.

I had FA surgery at Shriners back when I was 8-9 years old due to my feet turning inward really bad. I do not remember everything due to me being such a young age, as I am now 23, but it is really good to see this being talked about.
I have this, not as bad as her, I dont trip, I might get made fun of, added on to the fact im out of shape and running is a struggle, i went to pt and it didnt do shit, i dont have much pain as i have had it my entire life and it is in my family on my moms side, she has it and her aunt has it, we all just call it the funny leg and sitting cross legged was always a struggle and hurt like hell and in like kindergarten i didnt understand what it was that i had so they would force me to sit like that, and just it helps to know there are others who see this, they told me the exact name when i was 11 and told me they would have to break my femur to fix it and it would be a long recovery and a shit ton of money, so figured ive dealt with it, and so what glad to know there are others out there.
I have the same condition, but I have to wait until I definitely stop growing before I can get surgery. It's gotten to the point where I can't do PE anymore because it hurts to walk, run or even stand anymore
yes im having my surgery at the starship hospital after surgery and then stayedover night with doctors and nurses will take care of me for anything they want me to spend the night at the starship emergency room davenapartments diffant ward
If you have femoral anteversion and haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend ballet as treatment! It hasn't cured me, but it has greatly reduced the days I am in pain. Just the basics is all you need to know.
Thanks for this story. I have to treat my daughter. I am planning to get to you guys, is there any surgery video I mean animation.. to understand the surgery..also how is the Bradlynn doing now.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zSh3XNTkKnc.html
My 11 month old daughter has tibial hemimelia. She has had her Achilles release surgery and another heal chord surgery coming next month but she is so tough and such a champ. It has not slowed her down yet but we think she will need a lengthening surgery in the future. Do you have any advice for us parents?
@Meily If you haven't tried yet, I highly recommend trying beginner ballet for treatment. I was 24 when I was finally diagnosed with femoral anteversion, and only ballet has given me results. It has cut down the days I'm in pain enough to make the commitment worth it. Hopefully, it will be the key to helping you feel better too.
Very cool! I should have done that for my 1 cm difference, it made a huge difference in the adult muscle development in my legs. This wasn't available then. -Kev.
