Ty and Katie are reviewing movies that they've never seen before!! Grab your blanket, snacks, and favorite beverage for movie nights every Monday and Saturday!
And now you know what all the hype is about! Welcome to the family. Don't worry - a year from now you'll be re-watching the whole thing all over again. We all do. That's how good it is.
Y'all copy has scenes mine doesn't have. He never stopped to resr when he was rushing to save his family. Also the scene with farm hands and white horse are new too.
So, this is the second time seeing Peter Parker in the movies XD The creators of Iron Man 2 have confirmed that the little kid in the Iron Man mask that Tony saves is a young Peter Parker. But yeah, this is an amazing movie, with some very powerful scenes and fantastic acting, but it is one that I genuinely have trouble re-watching because I hate the conflict between the Avengers. Though, I will say that I am 100% Team Captain America. There is accountability to be had, yes, but at the same time... Tony is acting out of fear and guilt, not out of conviction. I agree with Cap that you can't put yourself at the whim of politicians, because when you do... you become their puppet. But... you'll see more about that down the road.
One of the things I really love in this one is a sneaky little detail as Tony is picking his replacement AI, one of them is labeled "TADASHI" in reference to Big Hero 6.
Hello, check out a movie called, 1492: Conquest of Paradise. Adventure/Drama (1992). It stars Gérard Depardieu, Siqourney Weaver, Armante Assante. It portrays a version of the travels to the New World by the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus and the effect this had on indigenous peoples. Directed by Ridley Scott. Thank you, Chris.
Being a 76 y.o. who grew up watching Lord Of The Rings it completely astounds me that there are people out there who have never even heard of this franchise. Will, cie la vie and all that. Love watching you all discover it, so good on you, and thanks for the reaction. BTW - Love your headphones, darling. At 20:00 you say that you think the books must be good. The answer to that is 'Yes YEs YES. Peter Jackson did as good a job as anyone ever could revamping them for the screen, but there's really no comparison. Read the books - you'll never regret it. They flesh out the story in a way that the screen never could.
35:04 "Orange slices" Scott (Paul Rudd) is referring to the snack commonly given to kids at half time of a soccer game, at least that's what we supplied my son's teams when it was our turn. By the way, remember this phrase.
Some ideas(y'all may have seen some): Eurotrip Road Trip American Pie(1,2,3, Band Camp, Reunion) Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back National Lampoons Van Wilder My Boss's Daughter National Lampoons Going The Distance Wedding Crashers Sex Drive(R version. Unrated is actually a garbage version. Trust) The Girl Next Door National Lampoons Barely Legal National Lampoons Dorm Daze Kill Bill Saving Silverman There is something about Mary Mallrats Dogma Good Will Hunting The Accountant Gone Girl Pulp Fiction Varsity Blues Lone Star State Of Mind Dodgeball an underg story Just Friends Meet the parents The Rundown Shanghai Noon Shanghai Knights The Tuxedo The Medallion Joker Captain Fantastic Hanna Wild America Without a Paddle Man of the House Grind Scouts Guide to the zombie apocalypse Ready or Not Abigail The Scream franchise (at least 1-3) Friday the 13th(2,4,6,7,8,X, Freddy Vs Jason) A nightmare on elm Street (1,3,4, A New Nightmare)
What you need to understand about the first Nightmare on Elm Street movie is that the only way it makes sense is when you realise what Nancy realises at the end of the movie... she and her friends and family aren't real.... we are all watching a Nightmare from the perspective of the Director Wes Craven IT'S HIS DREAM the entire film...
The amazing thing with Loki is that he WAS supposed to die in this movie, but none of the test audiences believed that he was actually dead. So, Marvel took the time to add scenes that would keep Loki alive, and frankly... the MCU has been better for it ever since. The thing with Loki is that he is chaotic... mischievous, but he is not simply evil for evil's sake. He is, truly, burdened with glorious purpose, even if it isn't the purpose he believes he carries. It is glorious nonetheless. Loki really is my favorite MCU character across the board... though, you have a long way to go before you _really_ see why.
Love you guys and Marvel Monday... although I'm watching this on Tuesday... great movie but never see anyone comment on the fact that they picked the perfect Zeppelin song for Thor's God of Thunder entrances... I mean come on, perfect drive, lyrics dealing with Norse mythology.... was there ever another choice? "We come from the land of the ice and snow, from the midnight sun, where the hot springs flow. The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new land, to fight the horde and sing, and cry Valhalla, I am coming"
Best part of this movie is Hulk ragdolling Thor like he did to Loki in the first Avengers movie. I find it hilarious though that that's the same actor who played Julius Caesar on Xena: Warrior Princess playing Skurge, Karl Urban Two points: 1. Loki looks DAMN good in Earth clothes 2. Hulk's mental capacity depends on how Bruce transforms. If he does it willingly, like in the Battle in New York, he has complete control over himself and he speaks more clearly. But if he gets triggered into changing by something outside of his control, Hulk will be a living battering ram with, as Tony Stark once said....with BREATHTAKING anger management issues.
Oh yeah they fight CRAZY in the comics. One that comes to mind is when Hulk had enough of Wolverine (Logan killed all Hulks inbred kids) so Hulk ATE Wolverine... He then had terrible indigestion because Wolverine healed in his stomach and just sliced his way out... Grovey
TOM HOLLAND IS ABSOLUTE PERFECTION IN THIS ROLE!!! He has such a puppy dog like quality to him. You just want to pinch his cheeks and pat him on the head and rub his ripped tummy lol 😂. Tom is my favorite Peter Parker because he actually feels like an awkward intelligent high school student who just so happened to get super powers. I understand people have criticism because of the whole Iron Man basically making him and stepping in and helping “everytime”. But I personally like that aspect and think it makes sense that he would mentor Peter. Tobey Maguire is also incredible as Spider-Man but he never really came across as all that young to me. I think he dos great with all the dramatic stuff where as Tom does really well with the comedic and youthful stuff. And Andrew Garfield did incredible with all of the one liners and just having a coolness to him. So just because Tom is my fav doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate all of the different versions of Peter Parker/Spider-Man
I have this unusual watch order that I would have recommended: -T1 -T Salvation -T2. it is my understanding (and of a few other terminator enthusiasts) that T1, T2 (and salvation to a certain extent) work through alternate realities... You see, there’s always been this theory that theres a “reality 0” where John Connor IS NOT Kyle’s son. Sarah had a different partner (probably military background), and when Judgment Day happened, this John became the leader, Kyle his right hand man, and John won the war. When he sends Kyle to save Sarah, “reality 1 was created, Where Kyle becomes the father. Sarah prepares John as best as she can, with the fear of The Terminator, Skynet and the machines as an absolute enemy, no possibility of finding the “useful”… That leds us to Salvation: this John only knows of the hell that Sarah survived, only has her tapes as guidance and would never trust a machine. (Although Salvation has references to T3 , I consider them minimal, BUT YES, one would have to ignore some on screen references) Won’t go into more details about T2 or TS so that I don’t spoil those movies… but my spoiler filled explanation would make it make more sense why insert Salvation between 1-2… But… yeah… T2 is legendary and is a must watch…
16:50 While filming this, Chris Hemsworth was spending a lot of time with a young fan visiting the set via the Make A Wish foundation. They had filmed the intro to Thor's "opponent" a couple of times. And Chris had asked the fan if she was having a good time. The fan was having the time of her life, then suggested to Chris Hemsworth that he should say his iconic line "We know each other. He's a friend from work."
You all better split Infinity War and Endgame into two parts because your editing of these videos are awful. And dammit, stop reacting in a room with ply-boards behind your damn heads.
5:16 Oh yeah, That's Matt Damon alright. And the part of Thor is played by Chris' brother, Luke Hemsworth, while Sam Neill (Jurassic Park) is playing Odin.
I kind of Agree with the comment 👇 about you guys Skip a-bunch of Good/Funny lines in the movie. But I also know that What’s Funny to Me is Not to Others and the other Way Around (but I was a lil Disappointed not gonna Lie)
