Hepheastus is not an "allied" he betrayed Kratos, send him to get the kidney stone from Cronos and he was hoping that Kratos just die, and then attack him after giving him the new weapon, and it is pretty much stated in the real mythology and in god of war mythos that Aphrodite really doesn't care about his husband, and there is no paradox, seems you twisted a little bit the context, we knew the gods were corrupted, and of course we should feel bad for Kratos, he was never able to rest. and of course kratos do not care about the people in the world, it is called "negation"
If its an invasions story it will be the other pantheons that are now terrified of the man who has toppled not only his home pantheon but a separate one as well. He may not want to be a god killer but Kratos is one and the still living gods will always fear that and may side together to go on the offensive before Kratos can come to their lands. Or, based on the fact Odin wanted to know what comes after death for a god, we could see the Greek gods reborn as their Roman counterparts
I really dont like this idea that every religion in the GoW series lives in the same world. It simplifies/cheaps the gods and doesnt make much sense in some celestial things. Like, there is only 1 sun and 1 moon. Are you saying that with Helios dead, the Sun disappears in Greece, but not in Scandinavia? The wolves that follow the Sun and the Moon in Norse myths, wouldn't that interfere with Helios works? With Ra's? How can 2 gods control the same thing, let alone dozens of gods? Even with the idea of "the gods have only jurisdiction on their own lands", how can that affect celestial objects? It would make more sense that there exist either different universes of the Earth, or that only the regions are their own worlds, like Greece is its own mini world, another for Egypt, another for Scandinavia, and that THOSE are separated by dimensional walls that can be crossed or something.
I think the movie was called gods of Egypt where there world is getting destroyed at the end and it zooms out on the world and you can clearly see it’s Egypt and kinda using that movie a a reference that was their whole world Egypt so maybe it’s like that just wherever you are in the world then you get another story of creation and whatnot
Sometimes, i just like living in the make-believe of a game. I dont care how as long as it's done well and doesn't pull you out of the experience. Sure "howd he get here?" sat for a whole 5 seconds before eventually just not caring. I figured in my mind that Greece and Nordic countries (Midgard) are only so far apart, and he just traveled there. All the realm shit would be exactly that, traveling to other realms whether it's from the Underworld to Hel or Olympus to Asgard. Thats why i would like to see the theoretical games for the other mythologies show up. I'd love to see how gorgeous their take on Egypt and its mythological realms would be (Origins did it great especially with DLC), same as the many asian mythologies that can be explored.
The sudden change from gow 3 to the 2018 reboot never made sense to me 😂 but to be fair the new kratos is much better as a character i could never have empathise with the old kratos no matter what you tell me he has gone through they tried to link the reboot to the old games but it doesn’t make any sense you can’t link the same kratos that killed everyone in his path whether they were innocent or not just to get to his goal sometimes just killing for no reason in gow 3 to the now kratos that tries to avoid every fight he can avoid and is trying to be a good person in my opinion they shouldn’t have linked the reboot with the old games the reboot should be its own separate story but atleast they tried their best to explain it in valhalla
No there’s a side mission after the end of ragnarok where you can meet the real tyr he is alive in ragnarok and he has his own full side mission and he is also in valhalla in his true form they said that he wasn’t a ghost that was the real tyr in valhalla physically there so yes he’s alive
Just one point added,in the time of the Greek mythology there where no people as Arabs! The Persian kingdom is not an Arabic kingdom! Just saw worth mentioning, the arabs never had mythologies, even the stories of a thousand and one night is written by Persian author
I don't care of Kratos became a monster, it's fun as hell. I like playing both good and evil characters, and GOW3 is the ultimate evil power fantasy! Remember when games where just made to be fun and not constantly pushing DEI and identity politics? Man, those where the golden age of gaming!
I'm sorry, what. You're telling me they sat down and thought all of them coexisting on one world makes more sense than some dimension hopping shit, lmao. You cannot make power hungry gods and have them casually coexist with each other just a few hundred or a few thousand miles apart. This has gotta be some rushed answer by them, surely
Hear me out, since the christian God can do anything, he is omnipotent, and that means he is stronger than all, so what if he made different creations at the same time in different places?
I'm pretty sure when we start out as Atsu, she'll just be a ronin who is out for revenge. As she goes on her journey, she is appalled and called to action against how the Samurai treat the people of Hokkaido (Ezo). Ainu, Eimishi and Yamato (Japanese), the Samurai may be imposing their way of life on the "lower class". Atsu may then hear the story of the Ghost of Tsushima. For hundreds of years, this tale about some mythical being who brought kamikaze (divine wind) against the Mongels, protected the innocent and brought vengeance upon the tyrants. She then takes on the mantle of Ghost, this time in a land that requires a symbol against oppression and tyranny.
water being the creator/divider of mythologies is really very poetic when you know that the species came from the sea and differentiated themselves after being separated by the sea.
