I just like making RU-vid vids. It's for fun and to help people out. Hopefully I can help anyone from the experienced gearhead to the new shade tree mechanic. Let me know if you have any questions. And thanks for watching
@juniorgarcia114 it all depends. I got lucky, as I live in Canada and rust is an issue. But these SUVs are getting older now and parts will get harder and harder to remove. The process is correct, but can't plan for seized parts, sadly
@mhaughton09 damn! I'm sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, no direct way to send me the Pic! But if he did, that's such a piss off. Hopefully nothing else was done to the car
@havoc8737 unfortunately, I can't...at this point. It's a very common complaint on these models. I will be looking to explore some options some time in the future, but haven't gotten to that yet, so I don't have any particular recommendations at this time
You didn't do the hard side!!😂 and it isn't just because the space is small! You can barely see down there!! At least give a pointer for an angled mirror or something to see. Shesh!
@churchill19708 haha it's a tight fit for sure. Make sure to take off that washer fluid tube and maybe even the power steering fluid plastic cover and you'll have enough room...barely
May I ask, I took my car to a mechanic, it had a problem with something related to my battery. I finally got it back but now that filter and the big black plastic that connects to it is missing. Is it something important or why would they take it away ?
@leviolin00 that's is something very, very important. Go back and get them to reattach it for sure. Without that filter dirt will get into the engine as you drive and could do damage, and it will affect you power and fuel economy too.
Friends, my 2014 QX is squealing a little upon startup. I'm thinking it's a worn serpentine belt. We've owned this car for about 10k miles and didn't get many details on the history. It's sitting around 203K now. Any feedback is appreciated... I have done a couple of oil changes and trans service so far.
@tonysmith238 hard to truly say without being there to hear it, but what you're describing definitely sounds like it could be the belt...that is one of the symptoms. Best way to tell is to wait until the engine is cold and have someone start while you listen out. There is always a possibility that one of the pulleys is making noise, but at 203k, the belt would be due anyways.
@martinagrunden896 I would love to make that video for you, but unfortunately I don't have access to a CX3 at the moment so I can make it. Sorry I couldn't help further
@NicholeW83 thanks. Unfortunately, I don't have a video on the AC compressor at this time. It's not a terribly hard job to do, but it's a bit annoying to get to. Make sure to get the AC Refrigerant removed first before you work (most local shops will do it for you, some do it free, some charge). And then you'll have to get the system recharged when you finish the replacement
Great video Hi my 20221 Chevy Equinox came up with a code P1101 it said alot has to do with MAF sensor my check engine came on do you think if I clean my MAF sensor like this video would help to finally clear the check engine light thank you kindly OH BTW I changed my air filter to a Fram air filter would that bring on the check engine light thanks only like 40,000 miles on my car
@@Florida1963 hey. A dirty mass air flow sensor could cause a P1101. I'm not saying it's the only cause (as they sensor itself could be bad or there could be a wiring issue, for example), but it's definitely possible. It's worth giving it a clean first. Also, the Fram filter, if installed correctly, should not cause the code to come up.
@user-yn4fx4px8m if done properly, it shouldn't. The person I installed this for still uses the Jeep for trailing and had no issues. But if something isn't done properly or if you do a higher lift, it can fracture something
@armandohernandez5591 that's a tough one. It's already hard enough to get that dipstick out. Since it's still stuck, you'll need something long and thing and you'll have to go from underneath the metal holder and try and pry it from there. It'll be tight and difficult though, sadly.
@THOMASDRELICH unfortunately, I couldn't tell you the size, as I haven't tried zero fittings myself. It doesn't look like there is a lot of material to thread the fittings into, and there isn't a lot of room between the frame and moving parts inside. So I'm not sure how well a grease fitting will work. Great question though
I haven't done it on the equinox and terrains, but I'm fairly certain the front seats have to come out, which gets access to some bolts on the side. There's also some hidden at the top. But unfortunately, I'm not sure how much has to be disassembled to gain full access
Ageed, the Pontiac Grand Prix rules. The first one bought was a 1972...in 1975. I've had several years of the G.P. in my life, I still have a 06 G.P. I bought ten years ago. It now has 90,000 miles and I still love it!
