I don't care if it's the best bike in moto GP - it's bloody pig ugly and lost all of that quintessential Ducati charm. 30k on that red lump of plastic . The wings and double sided swing arm means nothing in real world riding. You know, it makes the 999 and 749 styling icons in the Ducati world. This is just bloody ugly !

Main concern has nothing to do with the double swingarm which look perfect but rather a concern about the plastic explosion and the overall impression that parts design was made to cut costs everywhere and improve margin (just like the overall service costs evolution at official dealers). Racing supremacy does not justify these recent bad moves. I must precise that Ducati is my favorite motorcycle brand and I own one.

Thanks for the comment mate...When I was lucky enough to get up close there were many comments on the large use of plastic parts. Surly at least a splash of Carbon could have been added...although I guess that will be part of the 'expensive add-ons' when configuring the bike. It does though look soooo much better in the flesh and the technical upgrades may swing a lot of people. After all it's got a lot of fancy upgrades... Just not as pretty !

I'm on my second set. The first replaced the OEM Dunlop Sportmax that came with my CBR650R. It was immediately obvious that they were much better tyres. I didn't dare go very fast through the corners with the Dunlops, for one because I was scared of crashing a brand new bike, but also because I felt them slip, skip and slide at not terribly high speeds. Not that I thought they were unsafe, indeed they served me well, but it wasn't terribly confidence-inspiring. Pirelli would just stick to the road, and feel like on rails. You needed a lot to get them to give a bit - a bit of debris on the road or so - but they would just catch themselves and keep moving in the direction you pointed the thing in. I immediately felt much more confident to lean deeper into a corner than ever before. Certainly also a feature of their specific shape - they're built to be more like a V, instead of an U, giving you more contact surface when leaning than you get when upright. Also the edges of the tyres are much steeper, so you can lean farther without getting to the edge. Suddenly I had chicken strips again, and it took me a while to get them off XD. But the concept works. When on the Dunlops I felt I had to get my arse off the seat and hang off to stop it feeling sketchy, I can just stay on and go through, no problem. I loathe to think what speeds you would need to force you to start hanging off or dragging the knee. That's waaay out of my reach for now, and I won't be passing any corners at such speeds. At least not deliberately. Take this with a grain of salt - I'm not riding on tracks and I'm not very fast, I have had a looong pause until last year, and my experience with current breed of tyres encompasses just two types. But I love the Diablo Rosso IVs.
@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm
@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm 6 дней назад
Thanks for the brilliant and very detailed comment mate… Just like you I found these tyres confidence inspiring from the start. Which considering I went from the much stickier Racetecs was a pleasant surprise… Actually a massive suprised at just how great these more road biased tyres are. My 1200rs has a lot of power but still felt great and I had no fear when giving it the ‘beans’ 😁 Regarding track-use; I’m unsure if I will keep these on for track days and might possibly get a pair of Supercorsa or Racetec for that… However I was burning through them badly on normal road use while never reaching their full potential… The only real difference I felt, as I mentioned in the video, was the Pirelli is a little slower when flicking the bike about at lower speeds. This though might be my perception.. Hope to see you on the road at some point mate… 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

So out of all honesty, which bike looks better 18-24 or the 25? It’s pushing about the same HP ?, do you honestly think this is a downgrade from Ducati? I have a 21 and just recently put a deposit on the 25, I have to see it in person, I also have a 1199 , use to have a 1299, had a 2020 v4 which got damaged due to poor tech service, my twin looks stunning but my v4 is more superior and looks bad ass to…please give me your opinion, thanks.
@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm
@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm 6 дней назад
While the 18-24 is a better looking beast I think the 25 is a technical upgrade. The biggest changes were made to increase the lateral stiffness with the double sided swing arm… This is the biggest talking point at the moment but I can assure you it actually looks great! Electronically it’s got a lot more tech and the computer linked rear brake sounds pretty exotic… Basically it trail brakes for you. I have something similar on my Triumph Speed Triple 1200rs but no way near as sophisticated. My personal opinion, as I mentioned in the video, is that the fairing sucks, the front end is actually better, the thinner seating and tank profile allows you to grip better with your knees and gives more room on the bike… It’s not a downgrade at all!! This is a massive upgrade… You’re a very lucky person to be getting one… I think you are gonna be very very very happy indeed! I personally would choose this over the 18-21… My wife though said no 🥹

I went there about a week after they opened looking for a small tank bag I could use a a lunch bag for work, they didn't have any in but promised to get some in for the following week end which they did and when I saw the bags I thought nothing special ased the prices and none were under 85 quid I had to ask why is a woven plastic bag so expensive was it made by prada or gucci. I never will go back, I have since found bags at reasonable cost from other outlets

I went there a few times. Great little store. I will never go back though. All the staff are friendly and helpful apart from one guy who always seems to be at the till. He's so rude and up his own bottom. I hate rude people - no need for it. I think he has the black Harley. Hopefully they'll sack him.

I think I bumped into him once… Was trying to park the bike in front and he came out and rudely said “oh…you know there’s a whole car park over there” I let it slide though as the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. I am seeing a trend though in the comments that do edge towards people not really liking the shop. Maybe I’ve just been lucky…

And buddy if someone can take something from you it means it's not yours. (this doesn't include theft) They gave you the illusion that it was yours.. Let you miss a payment and see how quickly that changes But now that you've settled up it's Now yours. And congratulations

@@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm I could imagine that thought of missing a payment can undo all the other payments that you made prior even if they where on time to have nothing to show for it as they took the bike and you made payments towards it so you essentially paid for thin air. Not really fair in my opinion.. But now no longer a worry of yours. So thats Good

you can get some ok deals if you dont have alot to spare for payments but end of the day you end up paying the same or more depending how many miles you put on the bike as this is the main factor of how much you pay.. Its a great feeling to have paid it off i am sure

Ive never thought much about PCP, probably because Ive never bought anything new lol. It does sound like a good way to own a new bike. Im guessing you cant do any mods to it?

@@SloboloboVFR as the bike is technically not yours any mods are done at a loss!! For me I got sucked in by having my first new bike for only £100 a month! Still… Worked out in the end.
