Really nice. Just did this operation myself today, but it still won't start though there is pressure in the lines (complete with air bubbles...). Either bad fuel, too much air in the fuel lines, or no spark. Need to check tomorrow on daylight, first with starter gas to see if it hits, then if that fails replace the spark plugs and ignition cassette. I'm really hope it's not injector failure, but they can't ALL fail at once I think.
@@lukemallory7832 Yes, it was the injectors that were locked up. Apart from that you need to make sure that the ring around the pump forms a seal so that you won't have any nasty surprises. If you get fuel to the injector rail, enough to spew decently in a bottle then it's not the fuel pump that's being an issue.
@@Adrian2140 Thanks very much. After fitting the new (cheap) pump my symptoms are that the car starts and idles but stalls eventually. E.g. if I leave it running for say 10 or 15 minutes, it eventually just coughs and dies. If I try to rev it, it stalls sooner - and none of the time does it make the power it did before. I haven't looked at the car since last summer but with the weather improving, time to have another go..!
@@lukemallory7832Yeah I have those symptoms too car runs but it's either not getting enough air or spark (I tested spark but not the ignition cassette). I suspect it's the idle control valve that's stuck off though Car hadn't been moved in over 10 years and ALL the injectors were stuck, never seen that before. I took another idle control valve from a wreck and cleaned it up / oiled up as well as the old injectors, but I haven't put them in since I don't have a garage and it sucks outside.
The part numbers for the door microswitches are below: Left Door Lock - 3BD998785 Right Door Lock - 3BD998786 If you search these part numbers online they can be purchased from a number distributors.
Thank you very much, in my country the steering wheel is in the left side but the center display is the same, i was thinking that the lights are leds (much dificult to fix) like the instrument panel, but is not like that. Greetings from Santa Rosa-La Pampa-Argentina.
Thanks! My lock wouldn't open from inside our outside. Wasn't sure how to get the panel off, but when I started working on it, my wife just came out to tell me something and the door opened. All the cables look great so now the lock assy will get replaced. Must be part of theft. Amazing, inside of the door looks like new. Love this car.
Hi, i have this kind of lock in my Fabia 2 (2010) www.skoda-diely.sk/nahradny-diel/5n1837015m-zamok-dveri-lavy-cn-28627.html and i can´t change the microswitch, can you help me ? Thanks.
If it helps the screws will most likely be the original small Torx head T20 types, not crosshead or Phillips unless lost and replaced. Wiring socket on clock unit has a clip which swings over the top of the plug when inserted to lock it into place. You can see it square on at 0:38. Imagine pulling that flat flange around the top towards you and off the end of the plug so it lies flat on the socket edge.
