Love the entire video - it's so difficult to pick a "best" shot, but I really like the 69 stopped and then moving off from the trackside - it's awesome to see it move away and to hear it as the engine powers up and it moves off. Another great video of a great day!
I love old diesels as well as steam 🚂 trains. I work as a cleaner at Southern Cross station in Melbourne, Australia. There's some lovely old diesels being used in the shunting yard. Thanks so much for this video. It's keenly appreciated.
A well done video, I viewed it mostly because you filmed it, KF. But alas..... like @billburnhope2176, I too am not that keen on diesels and do love STEAM! 😜 Keep on doin' whatchur doin' !! 😃
What a lovely scene, and a great video clip. I'm so sorry I have never been to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. Idyllic! Thanks for posting. It's almost like being there More please.
They need a rain powered train, don't they ? Great vid. Hope you didn't get soaked. Couldn't see any spots on the lens. Maybe there's an AI tool that gets rid of them electronically ?
Thank you for your kind comment, we did get soaked, just the odd bit of blurring in places mainly but there was two shots I didn’t use as they was totally washed out.
It must be 40 years or more since I visited this railway! Glad it’s still thriving! Thanks for the video! My still photos are now a little worn taken on my Pentax ME Super. L.O.L. 😊
Excellent shots. Not the usual stuff in this one. Looks a bit like youtube didn't finish processing it yet though. At 11:20 it seems to be missing frames as the train jumps along a bit. It's not downloading issue because it's way ahead in the cache and "stats for nerds " says it didn't drop any frames. I thought it might be my slow card - but it does the same thing whatever rate I run it. Stull worth watching though . . I'll look out for part 2
WOWEE! Thank you KF & Lucky for posting a fine couple of R&ER videos! The R&ER has always been my favorite 15-Inch Gauge steam railway. I paid an magnificent and stunningly enjoyable two-week visit to both England and North Wales to visit several steam NG railways, in September of year 2000...... and your videos bring back some delightful memories, what great fun!! :-)
Not had any other reports of issues myself, and appears ok for me, unfortunately there could be dozens of reasons, from you internet connection, wifi, internet provider, youtube or simply the time of day as the bandwidths is usually usually shared with so many houses in the same area, as such it can be what everyone one else is streaming.
Great atmosphere, as usual... we take the time to enjoy, to listen to the sounds of this wonderful miniature railway and nature, birds... I love it ! 😉👌
Thank you for your kind comment, exit the devils gauge station and take a short walk up the road, after the last house u will find a footpath on the right, follow that into the woods and stay on the high side as it drops down and u should find it.
Excellent vid - as ever. Glad you were there to take advantage of that light. A couple of great new locations in addition to the old favourites, I see, too. And that's only part 1 . . . . Thanks for posting.
