Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Feb 24

For our First Film Release of 2024 we visited KWVR over february filming top & tail running due to the a major station upgrade at Keighley, as a result Steam was on the front upto Oxenhope and Diesel back down the line. Co starring with Lucks we had Ivatt 41241, Stnd 4 no. 75078 amd Black 5 45212 in steam, with the Class 31 & Vulcan in support along with 144011. As an experiment I filmed this only using my Iphone 12 hadn held.

Magnificent Ken There’s a brand new grange of 6880 that’s coming to the Severn valley railway and she’s come out of existence of the 80 original granges that weren’t saved for preservation

Gread vid as ever. The camera images seem fine to me. The sound seems fine also. It looks quite sunny, so probably not for a dull day with such a small lens maybe . . .

I did get a little fluffy spot to go over the microphone, and use a LUT when editing the film.

I usually do santa’s at christmas and then wait for KWVR gala, which is next week as it happens, as it happens this uears santa’s was a bit of a wash out, so ended up with a longer gap.

That is a beautiful portrait of "Penny" at the Intro!..... If this video is all hand-held, Ken..... You do have a very steady hand !!..... Surely you must be using some kind of "stick brace" or something? ;-)

Yes, it is all hand held, its easier because most is it is wide open on the iPhone, about 18mm, which helps.

Ask the railway, note you will need to purchase membership if you are not a member as well.

Gold footage as usual I know the line's embankments are mean to be cleared, but why does the rest of the surrounding countryside need to look so dead and sterile?

Time of year I guess, snow drops is about as good as it gets at the moment
